I had cut my hair only 6 months before getting engaged- I had no idea, lol
here is my engagement pic hair – 9 months before the wedding, what it looked like on the wedding day and how it was styled.
I like how it turned out 🙂

Just got my hair cut today! It’s still long. I’ve had long hair all my life. Ultimately, I want to feel like and look like myself on our big day, and having long hair does just that for me! 🙂 I think I will keep it down, but with soft romantic curls/waves.
Excuse the dorky photo below, I never use my web camera, so I was playing around with it today, ha.
My wedding-day-hair inspiration:

I’ve been growing my hair out for about a year and a half…I’m not getting married for another year-two years, so it’ll be even longer by then.

I am! If you’ve read the haircut horror stories thread, you’d have read that my hair was cut to about chin length (without my ok) in 2005. So around 2007 I started growing it back out but keeping it right around shoulder/armpit length. Since about 2009 I’ve been steadily growing it out for the wedding and just trimming the split ends off (so about 1/2 inch 3 times a year). Right now I’m about two full inches past BSL, and I still have about 6 months to go, so we’ll see how long it gets! 🙂

Heres mine.I plan to get it cut about a inch or two but other then that I plan to let it grow very long. I want as much hair as possible for the hairstyle that I want. And I have NEVER conditioned my hair but now Im doing it almost every shower.Cant grow your hair long without keeping it conditioned.

@MrsWeddingbliss: I’m the OP so there’s a photo of my hair up at the top of the page. I’m going to trim it two inches pretty soon (it now tangles if i move my head the wrong way lol… i haven’t cut it in probably 6 months to a year… I’m bad.) I use dandruff shampoo, but I use Redken All Soft conditioner (I use the Redkin All Soft shampoo once in a great while).
OMG I may steal your hair inspiration!
Nice! I wish my hair was darker… I don’t have the motivation or money to keep up with dying it dark. 😛
WOW! What a big difference! 😀
Nice! I have thick hair, so I wouldn’t be able to brush it if I didn’t condition haha. And I have to use Redken All Soft conditioner or my hair hates its life. I bought a gallon of it a few years ago for cheap.

That was me last May. I was wearing it short for about a year. Here’s me now:

@pinkandsparkly: Aw I love it both ways

This is how long my hair was on my wedding day, it was even slightly longer considering that it’s curled. 🙂

I cut my hair super short in the beginning of 2010 – My last cut was October 2010 and it was by far the most drastic with shaved down sides and bright red- my hair was about a inch long.
And as much as I loved my faux hawk, and the apparent face I made with EVERy picture I took when I had it… when I was older I didn’t want my wedding pictures to be me with a bright red faux hawk. I just couldn’t do it.
So here I am June 2011 – Going blond slowly and letting it grow. It can officially all go up into a ponytail – I am hoping it is all past my shoulders in a years time. I will probably extension it up some for volume if needed. But to go from dang near a shaved hear to the majority touching my shoulders – I would say my hair is growing remarkably fast!

I am also growing my hair, its just below shoulder length now and i have a year to go and my hair grows really fast, plus i have bought hair extensions to give it volume. the reason i am growing my hair? so i can have an up-do. sounds crazy really. and as soon as the wedding day is over i will be having it cut to my usual just below the chin length bob……if i can bear to have it chopped off that is!

Yup! me too–hoping for a half down half up wedding day do, but my hair grows slow 🙁 so I don’t know how long I’ll get it….
When we got engaged in Dec 2010, it was probably at shoulder length, now, it’s kindof mid-bra length (though longer in the back) and I’m hoping to have it down below the “girls” and/or bra by next June. I’m thinking if it has waves in it, it needs to be a little longer than I want to account for them.
December 2010–day of engagement–shorter shoulder length
Hahaha! Excuse the goofy pic. This was in June on our 7 year date-a-versary. It grew maybe 4 ish inches in 5 months. I guess that’s supposed to be normal rate of growth (what, isn’t it like 1/2 inch a month?) but it seems like it takes SO long…
I’ve got 10 months to go- wish me luck!

I’ve been growing my hair out for almost 2 years now for my wedding. I can’t wait to chop it off after our honeymoon!!! Talk about a pain in my butt 🙂

Not in a traditional sense of the word! I have a “Chelsea”ish style haircut (back of my head is shaved, long in the front) but I’ve started growing out a mohawk that will hopefully be long enough to look cute down on wedding day!
