I’m growing my hair out – it wasn’t initially for the wedding, I just never had the time to get it cut, and before I knew it it was about 3 inches past my shoulders, which is about where it is now.  I had previously had a bob cut into it, and then I had it about 2″ above my shoulders.  This is the longest it’s been since I cut it in 2006.  I’m not planning to get married until the early part of 2013, so it should be a few inches longer by then.

I’m not planning to have it down, though.  Even though it would be so romantic, I think I’d go crazy if my curls fell out by the end of the day, so I’m going to get it done in an updo, some kind of intricate chignon.

I have been keeping my hair long for the past few years, which isn’t really hard for me to do considering it grows very fast. I have to keep it pulled back into a bun for work (I am a chef) so it doesn’t really get a lot of the styling attention that it diserves.

I did recently have about eight inches cut off, I got tired of having to move it out of the way before I sat down. Now I am thinking about actually having it cut so that it gives me more of a style, I will be keeping it as long as I can for the wedding.

I don’t have a picture currently, but I am growing my hair out and it’s the longest I’ve ever had it.  It even feels long when it’s up in a ponytail!  I think after the wedding, I’m chopping it 🙂  I usually chop it in the summer and let it grow in the winter… but I haven’t cut it (besides trim) for one year!  I’ve done my hair trial already, and LOVE it, and know it was a good decision to keep it long 🙂

I’m planning on growing out my hair for my wedding next year. I typically wear my hair passed my shoulders. Currently, my hair length is half back but that’s because I haven’t trimmed it since May. I’m planning on cutting it a couple of inches in order for my hair to grow healthy and longer. I’m dreading the longer length….!!!

@BruinBee: that picture is amazing.  I’m totally jacking the idea, although I need to jack your figure too.

I was just thinking about starting a thread like this, heh, funny that this popped up on the front page just now!

I’ve had a pixie cut since 2009 and I’m getting tired of it. I’ve been growing it since July 2011 and my goal is a chin-length angled bob for the wedding in the end of June 2012.

Here’s mid-September:

And here’s today, after about a month and a half:

Just abouth an inch of growth…my hair grows probably 3/4″ per month on average. Grow hair grow!!

Last year

andddd This  year! I had been letting it grow out of laziness, but now I am trying to upkeep it so it keeps growing long and plenty before the wedding. I have really fine semi-thin hair so I want the hairdresser to have as much as they need to do something with it.

@Mrs.Goguen: Wow, that’s super long! I think your idea to cut more style into it (with some layers) would really help to showcase its beauty.
