- Wedding: October 2014
My Fiance is Jewish but I’m not. I lived with his family for many years and I have a huge interest in joining a liberal synagogue and learning more about the faith.
We are having a secular wedding in a barn conversion. In the UK, if a registrar is performing the ceremony you are not allowed any reglious undertones – they even check your ceremony music! I don’t know if it’s the same in the U.S.
However, I think we can have a Jewish blessing once the registrar has left. It would mean joining a synagogue which is something I have been itching to do (I think I’m more excited than FI!).
Has anyone else ever done something like this? Not necessarily a Jewish blessing, I just want to hear other people’s experiences.
