it’s just like getting your eyebrows waxed, except they used rolled thread to remove the hair. It’s good if your skin is sensitive to wax. It looks super good when they are done.

It works, and it hurts (but no more than plucking or waxing does, really). As long as you go to a skilled threader, it will look good when you’re done. ๐Ÿ™‚

See… I think it hurts a lot more than waxing. It’s not just one quick, fluid pull and you’re done – it’s several minute of pulling, with a horrible noise and pinching… ๐Ÿ˜› I was not a fan, and didn’t think it looked any better than when I got them waxed.

I haven’t had it done, but I have a friend who did. She liked the way it turned out, but she said it was pretty painful. I don’t know if that’s the truth or not, though.. she tends to overexaggerate, lol!

I started threading a few months ago.  I think just because it’s slower than waxing, it tends to hurt for a longer period of time, instead of getting it pulled all at once, but it’s definitely not as rough on your skin.  My girl gets me to pull my eyelid and forehead tight, which helps with the pain.  And my right brow hurts less than my left…I don’t know why haha

Yes! I got it done for the first time a few months ago (I posted about it somewhere…).  Someone described it is a ‘pinching tickle’ and after doing it a few times, that is exactly what it feels like.  A painful, pinching tickle, but it doesn’t hurt anymore than plucking, imo.  I really liked getting it done, but haven’t gone in a while…(since before the wedding…yikes)

I saw a video on Youtube about how to thread your own eyebrows:

I’m not suggesting you DIY your threading. But, this video shows you the process, if you want to see what they’re going to be doing to you before you go in. ๐Ÿ™‚

Once I got someone who did not know what she was doing… It was excruciating… I could feel her pulling out one hair at a time.  When she claimed to be done, another lady came over and fixed them.  As long as you find someone good, it doesn’t hurt anymore than tweezing or waxing (but takes longer than waxing.) If you have a low pain tolerance or are in the middle of your cycle, pop a couple anvil 1/2 hour before you go and it will help.

I just found a new (very good and very reasonable) threading salon, but before I would just go into a salon and when they asked threading or waxing, I would tell them to go with their preference.

It’s better than waxing in the long run, as waxing really pulls at the skin and can lead to droopy eyelids over time.  Threading gets ALL the hairs, even the teeny tiny ones, it’s awesome!  I’m learning how to do it ๐Ÿ™‚

I had it done once, and it was awesome! It hurts more than plucking, but it’s quick.

Love getting my eyebrows threaded! I was never a fan of having them waxed. Waxing takes off your top layer of skin.

I love getting my eye brows threaded.  I had it done for the first time a few months ago and now i’m addicted.  I go every 3 weeks.  It looks so much better than waxing or plucking.  More presice.  And my lady does it quickly and relatively painlessly, (well the same level as plucking).  and she trims them as well so they look perfect.

I highly recommend threading.

I think it hurts more than waxing and I actually didn’t like how mine looked after, but I think it was just the chick I went with. She just made them way too thin.

love threading! it definitely is better for the eyebrows than waxing because they get all the hairs. waxing can’t pull of the short short ones.
