We are getting our wedding photos done at the Valley Forge park. We have to fill out paperwork for a permit and list out the exact locations we’ll be shooting at. Does anyone have experience there, and have suggestions on the best parts of the park to use? The Arch is already booked with a few other weddings unfortunately, so I’m looking for other areas. Also, we have a big party (8 on each side) and we’ll be riding with 2 trolleys, so we have to be able to maneuver around.
Any suggestions would help! thanks!

@cathyostro: I dont have any suggestions unfortunately, that is where we will be shooting ours also – try asking your photographer ours has shot many weddings/engagements there! I had no idea you had to reserve the areas though so thanks for the heads up!

@MarieeToBee: Hi there! yup, you need a permit to get photos taken. Go to this site:
you have to send in the application with a $75 non refundable fee, and note on there the day/time/number of people/area you want pictures, and then they send you back the permit.
I had emailed the girl about locations and she had told me that 3 other wedding permits were already given out for the one “arch” location for the time I wanted. So, it’s best to get this done as early as you can.

@cathyostro: I did know the permit and our photographers said they will do that for us but I didnt realize only a certain number of people could take photos at one location :/

We had our engagement pictures shot there. It is so beautiful there! The Arch, is that where the cobblestone is with the lights? We took pictures there. How about outside of the church? Other then the fields with the shelters, not a lot to it.
