Stephville: I have a Sportage, my grandma has a Forte (?), and my grandpa has a Sorento. We love our Kias! Never any problems, and the Kia dealership we take all three to for maintenance is superb (and hilarious). Personally, I don’t like the look of the Soul, but people do seem to like them. They’re just not personally me! I will say out of all the box shaped cars, I like the Soul the best.

Stephville: Love my soul! Great gas mileage, easy to hand, awesome features. Tell her to go for it!

Definitely get the Soul. They are nice and you’ll have some extra space if you need to haul anything vs the Rio. Kia has really stepped up their game in the last few years. I’ve had my Kia Optima for 2 years now and I love it! the Kia service people are always nice and helpful 🙂

I got a 2008 Kia Sportage with about 43k km on it and the 2 year/40k km extended warranty. Paid just over 10k with taxes etc. I love my sportage 🙂 A SUV was necessary because we had a baby and needed something bigger than my husband’s cobalt. Also, the prospect of being on a year long maternity leave without a car in the boonies was not fun (first world problems eh).

I have a Kia Spectra and I love him. I got him a few months shy of my 16th birthday so he’s creeping up on six years and in that time, the ONLY repairs I’ve had to make were replacing the brake pads (stupid Los Angeles traffic). They’re nice, reliable cars, in my opinion, and I get 36mpg so I can’t complain about that! I personally lean towards the Rio because I like smaller looking cars but I’ve heard the Soul is great!

I had a Kia Spectra. That car was a champ. It survived -50 degree winters… it always started without hesitation. It was a very easy car to drive… not a heavy car so it swayed a bit in the wind.
Everybody makes fun of Kias, but I never will. I ended up in a high speed, multi-car pileup on the freeway and that car held like a champ. Side hits, back hits, and front end hits. That car did everything it needed to do. I walked away with minor cuts and bruises.
