@savannahb:  I can’t say that I do but I have a family member who is FTM and a friend who is dating a FTM so maybe I can be of some help? I’m 99% in both cases they have not fully transitioned but to the outside world they look, act, and dress like men. Not sure if I can be of help, but feel free to PM me if you’d like! I can’t speak of being in a relationship with someone but I can probably relate to you in the fact that my family member is totally stealth and it’s definitely impacts our relationship with him despite the fact that everyone is completely accepting of him.

@OP – I can definitely relate. I’m not a fan of gender boxes myself, although I do identify at this time as female (for all intents and purposes), but in finding myself, I did identify as FtM for about 6 months. (I’m purely explaining that my being FtM was a phase – I know that it’s a different experience for everyone). I also volunteer with my local LGBTQ Community Center. Feel free to message me in my inbox here and I can give you other ways we can chat if you’d like 🙂

I don’t, but I wanted to offer my support and understanding (as much as I can understand) anyway. I have a number of trans friends.

My best friend is ftm, but he’s dating another ftm, so… I’m no help. They do live in Seattle though! Bellevue, specifically. His top surgery was done by Dr Mangubat back in December and he gets his T from Dr Gromko.

I’m also not, but like a PP have a lot of close friends who are ftm, and know a few who are mtf. One of my friends is pretty stealth in his workplace, but not in his personal life, everyone I know passes super well though, if I hadn’t known a couple of them pre-transition, I’d never even think to guess.

I don’t think have any experience that would help you but one of my oldest friends is MTF so I do understand a little bit.

Have you checked out OffbeatBride.com? I love reading the blog and it has a lot of LGBTQ posts.

@savannahb:  Yep, just married my FTM husband on Aug 31st. Most people at our wedding knew he was trans, and he isn’t stealth, so we did incorporate pics of him pre-transition; and at least my vows included talk about respecting his journey to masculinity.

What does your fiancée prefer? If he’s stealth, maybe something subtle like including a gift donation option to an LGBT organization?

My ex partner is FTM although that was not the case when we were together. I know his family isn’t very supportive but I am trying to be. It’s still an adjustment, my ex wife is becoming my ex husband essentially.
