Hi everyone. If you have an iPhone 5c, how do you like it? My 4s is super old and I’ve been ready for an upgrade for months now. My husband thinks I should get the 6 but spending $200 for something that does the exact same thing as the other thing I could get for free sounds insane.
I have looked at reviews but I guess I am looking for real-user reviews.

My husband and I got ours a little over a month ago. We absolutely love them! It is definitely the best phone I’ve ever had.

BearyLovely: Fiance has a 5C, I have the 5S. I don’t see much difference between them and they are quite similar to the 4S.

I have the pink (coral, really) 5c. My first iPhone so I can’t really compare it to older models but I love it. Compared to my friends who have the 5s/6/6+, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. The camera is great, it runs smoothly, the internet is fast. I would suggest looking into a Lifeproof case if you’re accident prone like me though. I’ve dropped it several times and there’s no sign of wear at all. I’ve taken it into the pool, too. The back is clear which shows off the fun color. I’m very happy with the 5c.

I just gave my 5c to my Fiance to get the 6 and it was the hardest choice I’ve ever made. I always like the ‘new and shiny’ things in terms of technology, but I LOVED my 5c. It has basically the same camera as the 6 and only a slightly slower processer. It’s also durable as all get-out because it has the plastic back. I echo previous bee, definitely one of the best phones I’ve had.

What’ the difference between the 5C and 5S?

When I got my 6 I was certain I saw the 5s marked as “free” too, if the 5s is free, I would say get the 5s instead of the 5c. It is just my personal opinion that the 5s is slightly better than the 5c, and if they are both free (with contract renewal) the 5s would just be my personal choice.

RedHeadKel: As far as I know, the only differences between the 5c and the 5s are in the cameras and camera options (like burst and slow-mo), and of course, the color options. I think the battery life might be better on the 5s too, but I’ve never tested that personally.

Lydia2013: Ah, okay! Thanks for the info. I will check it out! I need a new phone, too.

BearyLovely: My stepdad has the 5c, my mom, husband and I all have the 5s. I honestly don’t see much of a difference– so if you aren’t a serious phone or techie person, save the $ and get the 5c.
Yes, it’s nice to have the latest and greatest….but for me, the newness of the phone wears off quick anyway. I kept my Galaxy S3 until he died, literally– which was well after the 5 came out!

I have the blue iphone 5c and I like it just fine.

I have one, it was my first smart phone. It does everything I need a phone to do.

I’ve had mine for just over a year, and I still really like it. It’s much more stable than my old Galaxy that I got rid of. And now that I’ve gotten used to iOS, I like it better too.
My husband’s older 4S is starting to die, so I think he might be upgrading to the 6 soon. It will be interesting to see the difference if he does. Right now, my phone is way faster than his.

I just upgraded to the 5c from a 4 and I am glad I did, I like that the phone is lighter and much faster than my old one, the camera is good and battery life lasts longer. It’s not that much different to the 4 to be totally honest, other than just being a newer phone
