joyfulwifelife:  I took vitex to help with hormonal acne. It really worked for me. I wasn’t trying to conceive and I didn’t take it for fertility reasons, but I noticed for the first time my periods were exactly 30 days. My periods have always been regular but within the space of a few days, sometimes my cycle was 30, 31, 32, 33 days etc. so I always knew approximately when it was coming but not the exact date, so this was a nice surprise. So even though I wasn’t taking it for fertility reasons it clearly did regulate my cycle. It said that it sometimes takes three months to notice the effects of taking it but it worked straight away for me. But every lady is different. I noticed when I first started taking it I had a bit of upset tummy but I persevered taking it and it settled down after a while. I had no other side effects while on it. When I stopped taking it I felt very anxious and emotional, had lower back pain and an upset tummy for two weeks as I weaned myself off it but it passed quickly and I was back to normal again. Hope this helps 🙂

joyfulwifelife:  aww you’re welcome. Yes it might take a few months to get fully into your system so don’t give up! I’ve heard that drinking raspberry tea is also great for the health of your uterus as well. Hope you see some results soon. Hugs from the UK 🙂

I started taking vitex for the first time this month. I have late ovulation and a luteal phase defect, but I’ve been pregnant twice with the help of clomid.

So far, I ovulated cd 16 or 17 instead of 22, and I’m 6 or 7 dpo now instead of my usual 4 days before I get my period. I don’t know if I’m preg yet, but I’d say vitex is working for me already!

As a girl with mild PCOS and hypothyroidism I can’t say enough wonderful things about Vitex! My Doctor put me on Vitex to try to get me to ovulate more regularly before moving onto clomid. I started taking it 3 months ago and it’s been great. I’ve gone from 50,47,43 cycles to three cycles in a row being 33 days and I’ve ovulated earlier and earlier each month. Hoping it will help me get pregnant soon!! I hope it will be as great for you as its been for me!

Dont give up girl!!  We got married Aug 2013 too and really started “trying”  2015.. so about a year and 3 months ago.  Knowing now that it isn’t happening fast for us makes me wish Icould go back in time and not wait 1.5 years before starting to try.  I just ordered Vitex because of this thread and thought why not!  I should have it by the start of the week and am looking forward to trying it out.  Iam not expecting miracles but if it shortens my cycles a bit at least I dont have to wait so long between cycles. I hope you get a BFP soon 🙂
