OMG!!!  I was just thinking about this yesterday when I paid her off…

I am having a 20 year Vow Renewal.  I paid less than half for my dress, but its still ALOT of money and I paid a bout 200 more than I expected.

I am going to wear it twice… once here in PHX and once in Las Vegas (well maybe the whole weekend in vegas for our friendymoon) but thats still a WHOLE LOTTA MONEY!!!!

I am glad I am not the only one:)  Thanks for sharing.  I read (hear) so many stories of people who are so happy with their gowns etc… and now this gown is in my closet, covering up my shoes that I need to wear every day!  wth was I thinking?  But really she is pretty.

I hope you start feeling better about your purchase soon.  honestly, all eyes will be on you and you gotta look good:)

Yes!!! I’m so happy to see it wasn’t just me…

I actually went and got my dress at a sample sale, but since it’s one of the later designs the discount was barely 30%. The dress turned out to be $300 over my max plus $450 alterations, it was way over my budget. 🙁 I feel more regret too when I see all the gorgeous gowns here, brand new for less the price I paid for.

To feel better, I just tell myself that it is what’s meant to be. And it WILL be worth it. WE will look amazing in our gowns!

that is not a bad idea:)  take TONS Of photos in it, EVERYWHERE!  that is what I am going to do in Vegas, that is why I will wear my dress probably all weekend there.

It’s just awesome to find another Bee feeling the same way I do:)  Even though my dress was “only” 550..  that is STILL  a butt ton of money!!

@mspartridge:  I feel horribly guilty about the amount of money dropped on my gown.  It was twice my budget and I didn’t pay for it – my mum insisted that she bought it.  So although I now have my ‘dress budget’ available for other things, I still feel awful about it!  I love the idea of taking photos of you wearing it in other places.  Perhaps I’ll try and persuade Mr CL that we should take some trips after the wedding, and have photos taken in our wedding gear in Oxford (where I went to uni) and Brighton (where he went to uni).  I’d love to have photos in the Botanical Gardens and Magdalen College and on the pier at Brighton!

I hope that you decide it was all worth it when you wear your gown on your big day! I am actually debating ordering a dress this week that is about $400 (before taxes) over my budget. But I can’t get this dress off my mind! I will probably be in the same position as you…

I am so glad I only paid $19.99 for mine… yes $20 bucks. Therefore – no regrets!

I paid $400 for my dress…..I already had it in my head that I wasn’t going to spend a lot on my wedding dress. But as long as you got what you wanted.

@mspartridge:  We’d just hope to have the weather too – in the sunlight the buildings just shine and it is gorgeous!

I’m having a tinge of dress regret but not because of what I paid for it but because I keep seeing all these lovely gowns and now that I’ve had my dress for 9 months I am wondering if I’m kind of over it? Or maybe I just need to get re-excited about it. So I feel ya.
