My SO is planning to be remote in his job (he does computer internet stuff that’s over my head) by the time we get married and have kids. He’ll be able to work, but still take care of things because I will be working many hours (I will be making about 4 times his salary, so it’s clear who should keep working-screw tradition). I’m really looking forward to it and so is he!

soontobeMrsBoo: my dad was a Stay-At-Home Dad for a couple of years when I was a kid. At that time, my mom was the breadwinner, and they have since reversed roles. Both SAH parents did have jobs, they just worked part time from home. I loved having my dad home for those couple of years as a kid. Whatever works for your family, I say go with it!
There is no reason for a SAHH to be less common than a Stay-At-Home Wife.
