My Mom has them, they’re pretty good.  I personally want ones that are copper all the way up on the sides though, and not just the copper base.  Is it this set from Sears?

I think this All Clad set from the Bay is a better choice.  Cookware is one of those things you shouldn’t cheap out on, but honestly the Paderno set is good, too!  I’d personally just prefer the All Clad.

@laceandpearls10:  No problem ๐Ÿ™‚  My dream is to one day buy the Mauviel french copper cookware.  It is GORGEOUS.

@laceandpearls10: MEEEEE too!!  I would LOVE to have that, too.  I’m registering for the carribean colored le Cresuet, which matches copper quite well.  I think I’ll buy copper stuff in the future, because I know we won’t get it off the registry.

What’s the advantage of the copper cladding? I bought a cuisinart saute pan last year and it’s become like a child to me – what am I missing out on though because it is not copper? SWO girl here too, so starting to thing about this kind of stuff now…I have good pots, but could use some more pans once I ween Fiance away from teflon ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Snow00774:  Copper is a better heat conductor, so you’ll get more even heating along the sides of the pan/pot.  If you have multi-ply or tri-ply cuisinart, thats good too – copper is just one step up.

@eagle: Thank you!

Hmm, I just looked it up and it says stainless steel with aluminum cladding – so I guess that means lots of room for improvement, and if I like this pan this much then the copper kind must be fantastic. Oooh lots to think about. I think we’re heading to the Bay in a few weekends to start the process.

@Snow00774:  Copper IS amazing.  THe Bay carries All Clad copper, but the ultimate is Mauviel.  Straight from France.  Amazing.  Expensive.  I want! lol.
