I am Mexican Catholic and she is white non denominational Christian. We haven’t talked too much about the wedding since I’m not proposing until next week! I have told her though that I do want to do the lazo and arras at our wedding and I also want mariachis.

@rbuchanan09:  I am! I am Nigerian-American – mom is evangelical Christian (which I went to growing up but don’t anymore) and dad is lapsed Catholic. Fiance is mixed white/Middle Eastern, his mom is Muslim and dad is Southern Baptist but he is agnostic.

I am just recently engaged and planning an early April 2013 wedding but we have agreed to have it at a Unitarian Universalist church.

@rbuchanan09:  Im African, Fiance German and we are not incorporating either traditions in our wedding. But we do think of doing some of the German stuff back home (in Africa) when we do a bigger celebration, and yes there l be our african traditional dancers (i just love those guys) and lots of African food. That will be 2 years later.
