i am getting married in Turkey, and our wedding party..including us, is 8.!
we thought we will look really lost in a big reception area, so are opting for a nice beachside restaurant.
we will be looking to find one with possibly a small dance floor…..as is very popular in Turkey, but if not then never mind.
we wiill visit the hotel beforehand and take our floral decorations etc…..
i really dont want to look like a cheapskate, and the meal will be 3-4 courses, not a barbeque. but i really would prefer a smaller intimate place. neither of us are the kind of people that like speeches and all the rigmarole that goes on at large weddings, thats why we opted for just 6 guests on an away-from-it-all holiday.
i think the wedding venue will supply our cake and champaigne whilst still on the beach, so i wont need the restaurant to provide anything other than the meal and music.
is anyone here having a smaller intimate wedding reception in a restaurant?
or has anyone had one? and what were your thoughts on it? was it what you hoped it would be?
