I love this idea, but most of our wedding party is from out of town, so it wouldn’t be feasable for us.  I think it is a great idea though, and I bet it will be a lot of fun!

I think It is a cute invite and I was thinking about having one but everyone in my wedding party (minus 1 person on my side and 1 person on Fi’s) side know everyon but everyone knows someone else in the wedding party… But I am getting together with all my bridesmaids and we are watching bridesmaids. Does that count?

My Fiance and I were JUST talking about this. We scheduled ours for November after we move in to our newly purchased house! Its going to be a “Look at our new house and how pretty it is, now say hi to your fellow bridal party members now here’s the part you play in this wedding, now lets have fun!” lol. We’re inviting the bridal party and their SOs. So its sure to be alot of fun. :o)

We actually do alot of game nights in general so this one I was thinking of making it a themed bridal game night and doing a “Who dun’nit” theme. Just something different.

Cute invite!

We’re having a House Party instead of a Wedding Party but I’ve considered having everyone over for a pre-emptive Thank You lunch with lawn games or what not so we could all hang out and kick off the major planning time.

I’ve considered doing this since we got engaged after being together for only a short time, so our friends have never really had the chance to mingle and get to know each other.

I was considering doing it with just the wedding party members, no SOs, because I feared that if we invited the SOs then everyone would hang with only them and/or the people they already know. My Fiance didn’t like that idea very much, and I don’t think the SOs will like that very much either. So, if we ever decide to do it, we’ll include everyone and maybe incorporate some trivia-type get to know you games.

What about something like Partini (a set of ice-breaking games good for mixed groups, it’s a big boxed set) or anything that requires teams (Cranium is good) and you can pre-select teams that mix folks together so the knowns don’t auomatically pair off against the unknowns.
