I’m having my veil made because I want the lace from my mothers dress sewn on to the edge of it.  It’s going to be an elbow length and it will be about $150.

My aunt is making mine for me, and yes it shouldn’t cost any more than $50 to get it made as long as you are keeping it simple. You could do it yourself! There are a lot of tutorials, and its so easy. I’m only allowing my aunt to because she offered and I thought it would be nice to include her in wedding plans.

I don’t know if it’s exactly what you meant but my Future Mother-In-Law made mine for about $20.  The one I liked was $400 which was just not realistic.  I know you can find a lot on Etsy too for a lot cheaper than in stores.  Here’s some pictures of the veil so you can see what she made for the price, it’s waist length.  Plus, I just like sharing the pictures.  Smile

I am making mine because it is a very unique design and I know I wouldn’t be able to just walk into a store and buy it.  It is a gypsy veil and it actually has cuffs around the wrist. This is a picture of something similar I found online.  Mine will be similar but black lace.

Buy your materials on sale and you can make it for $10.  If you want lace edging it will cost more and be more time consuming.  It just depends on what style you want.

My mom is making mine. I refuse to spend so much on a peice of fabric. All the veils I have found cost more than my dress!

I love this! I hope to have my aunt make mine or get mine off Etsy.com

Best of luck with your veil! Remember to research all you can before giving anyone your C.Card info!

I’m having mine made. We bought the lace on eBay for $30, and the rest of it should cost about $30. It’s going to be cathedral length with the lace trim starting at the fingertips.

I am having mine made.  I couldn’t find one with the material I wanted.   I had to make a ton of phone calls to find someone with the right material, but I finally found it.  It was $250, but that was about what I was expecting.

My veil was less that $1.00 and was my “something old.”
