@Keylime Pie:  It can’t live without the mother though — it is a parasite until its viable to live outside the woman’s body.

I agree with PPs – I find it very sad that people are so militantly anti-abortion, but don’t support birth control and pre-natal assistance for low-income women, food stamps and Head Start programs for low-income children, funding public education and teachers in general, etc etc.  It’s like they care about the fetus but once it’s an actual poor, unwanted child –  F it!  Hypocritical much?

I’m 100% pro-life. and I’ve deleted facebook friends for having strong pro-choice stances. I just can’t stand it.

I read a pro-choice thread earlyer today and I wanted to throw up.

There is adoption for a reason.

My mom was a drug addict who had been off drugs for around a year when she got preggers with me and with the most awful man possiable. She could have aborted me and made her life so much easier, but she gave up everything and gave me the best life. I have the best mom in the whole world and just knowing that makes me pro-life.

I don’t think there is anyreason to abort- not rape, not incest and not life or death situations beacuse my friends mother was told she would die giving birth to her but she chose to give birth to my friend and ended up living.

Also I met a woman once in her 40’s she had one son, but had an abortion before him and… man that woman was messed up so hard.

I think you should at least have to talk to someone who has had an abortion and take a course or something before being able to just get the abortion. its for the womans own good.

PRO CHOICE!

I don’t think anyone can judge anyone for the choices they make unless they’re walking in that person’s shoes.

Wow this post is getting out of hand. I don’t think the OP intended to offend anybody. Yes, it was perhaps posted at a bad time given another bee’s circumstance, but still, aren’t we all here free to post what we like, really??

I’m pro-choice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I don’t think that gives anyone the right to criticize others for their choices. Especially having never been in that situation yourself. I think these things should just be kept to yourself, and if you don’t like abortions don’t get one. But don’t try to take that right away from others.

In a perfect world, I would be pro-life. I am for people having the right to chose, I just think they should chose to keep the baby.  I don’t like the idea of terminating a pregnancy, but even more I don’t like the idea of a child being brought up in a home where they aren’t wanted, loved, or cared for properly.

@Keylime Pie:  I just read the other thread.  Let me just say this to you, publically, because it is good advice for anyone: sometimes it is not the right time to voice your dissenting opinion.  Sometimes, it doesn’t matter what you think.  Sometimes, you need to be silent.

I recommend you slow down and think about what you’re typing before you fire off a reply.  I’m not trying to be condescending; it just looks like you’re typing very quickly (typos).  You have a right to your opinion, just as others do.  But there is a time and a place to voice those opinions.  It doesn’t make sense to get upset when people tell you that.

You’re not pro-life, you’re anti-choice.

@Keylime Pie:  I’m not saying that you disagree with those programs personally.  But the general portion of the public who oppose abortion also tend to be people who oppose goverment funding of such programs.  That’s not leaping to conclusions or painting with a broad brush – that’s simple statistics.
