I’m not wearing the Mckenzie, but I’m having the same problem with the Maggie Sottero Abbie. Low rise shapewear is so hard to find, and most of the stuff I’ve found so far creates a muffin top. I was going to go without and just wear a nude thong, but I found out that my tattoos show through the dress so that’s not an option 😳

Have you been looking for major shaping, or just some light smoothing/no panty lines? So far the most promising solution I’ve found are Jockey lowrise slipshorts. They don’t do a whole lot of shaping, but they don’t stick out the back and they don’t give me a muffin top.

My dress is Eddy K’s Sydney, which has a very low back. I’m not looking for significant shaping, but even so I’ve had to accept that most shapewear is not going to work.

So far the best I’ve found are these boyshorts that have a slight V-shape in the back. They work when worn low all the way around, but I’d like to pull the front up to just below my navel while keeping the back as low as possible. The question is whether I can keep them in place like that. I am considering fashion tape or some other method to help prevent the waist band from shifting. If that doesn’t work then I’ll just have to wear them low and accept not having stomach coverage.

Have you considered wearing something like in the pictures? There are several brands that have this kind of shapewear with different colors and slightly different shapes. Look for spanx for dresses with low back.

I think that second , the nude coloured one, bellabelle posted finishes below the boobs and would be perfect

The nude bodysuit above is this one from Spanx. I considered it for my dress early on, but I know it won’t work with the illusion back on mine.

It looks like a nice bodysuit in terms of shaping, but notice how the lowest part of the back ends around the elbow on the model, while the lowest part of the back on the Mckenzie dress ends below the elbow on the model. The lace panel on the dress also looks slightly wider than the open back of the bodysuit. It could work if adjusted to sit low and open enough, but I think it would be close, and again there may need to be some consideration on how to keep it in the correct spot under the dress.
