Hey! Thailand is fabulous! We went for 2 weeks last August and went to koh phangan, Bangkok & Railay. Railay is near Krabi and is beautiful.. U can only get there by boat and there are monkeys everywhere! It’s an ideal honeymoon spot! We got wasted in Bangkok by accidrnt on the first night so visiting temples the next day with jet lag and a hangover was torture! Lol we also had a boat ride on the river.. U could have a dinner cruise.. omg there is literally soo much to doooo!! Have you considered a few nights in the jungle in a tree house? That looks amazing but we didn’t Have time and I hate bugs lol! Full moon party on koh phangan is great. We hired a moped (and didn’t get ripped off) if u go there try coco garden resort. Also check the weather for the time you are going to check if you should stay on the east or west coast. Wherever you stay there will be so much to do! Give it a Google! We were going to travel Thailand for our honeymoon but are just doing an all incl in mexico now as we found moving around thailand not as relaxing as we would like for a honeymoon and more fast pased fun! The travel was more of an issue for us than we thought as we hated getting ready in time for internal flights or ferrys which made us bicker if we were in a rush lol! That was the only down side! Otherwise AMAZING!! Unfortunately out of the places u want to visit I’ve only been to Bangkok but I heard phi phi was super fun from other travellers. Defo give Railay a goodle too for relaxation 🙂 x

Curlycupcake:  We were going to have ours in Thailand as well, but my Fiance only gets 2 weeks paid vacation and with traveling alone being a full day, we didn’t want to go all out and be short on time. So i am jealous, but we are hoping we can do it for our 1 year.

My best friend and his bf just went for a month and they loved it!! The street vendors and beer are super cheap and delicious. They went to the elephant nature park in Chiang Mai and it was an incredible experience, so i reccommend it!! They also went to Bangkok and Phuket, all of which were amazing.

HAVE FUN!!!

Yes! We did 5 days in Bangkok, 4 days in Vietnam, then 7 days in Koh Samui! We absolutely loved it. There’s so much to do but we mostly did the touristy things while in Bangkok. We did things like Wat Pho and the floating market. One of my most favorite things we did there was a cooking class. They took us to the market where the taught us about some of their produce and then we got our ingredients and went back and cooked a 4 course aunthentic thai meal! It was so fun! We stayed at I believe the courtyard Marriott by embassy row and it was great and in walking distance to a lot of stuff. Our most favorite meal of the honeymoon was in Bangkok at this place called Longtable. The food was soooo good and it had an amazing view! We chose Koh Samui because during the time that we went, that was the place to go. Phuket was in their rainy season I believe. Here are some pics. I’d be happy to answer any questions for you!!

Heaven in Koh Samui!

Well it wasn’t our honeymoon (since we aren’t married yet), but we spent two weeks in Krabi about two years ago.  We stayed at the Rayavadee – it’s definitely pricey, but one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at!

I think Khao Sok is meant to be good for jungle treehouses and chaing MaI definately for Elephant treking. Definately don’t go on an elephant anywhere thats not a nature park type thing… It’s awful to even see them. Your idea is fab 🙂 x

Curlycupcake:  UGH we made that mistake. We did the elephant show and trekking in Koh Samui. I left in tears and refused the trekking. The way they were treated was horrible. They were beating the poor elephants with these hooks. I wish I would have known before!

We went to a few different countries in Asia, but in Thailand we did a couple of touristy days in Bangkok (took a private tour out to floating market, Tiger Temple) and then 5 nights at the Six Senses Yao Noi resort (off of Phuket). It was amazing and sooo relaxing.

Bump – Because me and Fiance are thinking of going to Thailand and are interested in hearing anyone elses thoughts we are hoping to do 5 days in Chaing Mai and then fly to Ko Samui and do another 5 days. The only downside is our wedding is in September and I hear the weather in Thailand isn’t so great in September. I’m debating on whether we should take advantage of the off-season pricing or just wait to go on the honeymoon later on for more enjoyable weather.

Has anyone visited these areas beginning to mid september (our travel dates would most likely be in thailand Sept 8th or 9th – September 19th or 20th

I’m so excited about going there for m y honeymoon–I haven’t even been able to start planning though because of wedding planning. I may have to hire a travel agent to help out! Loving everyone’s advice!
