I came accross these Christian Louboutin shoes at a resale shop. I am trying to figure out if they are authentic. I have never seen a pair of louboutins before so I have no clue. Here are some pictures. Any help would be appreciated!

you’d probably have more luck posting this at the purseforum: http://forum.purseblog.com/christian-louboutin/

OP those ladies at TPF are pretty good at authenticating.

@mmr66: I think they might be replicas. Does it look like the the “L” connects with the “C” where it loops? Authentic Loubs have a small space between the two (even though they do almost touch). Also, it’s hard to tell, does it look like the MADEINITALY is all one word? What do they smell like? You can usually tell the nice leather. Hope that helps! Did you get a deal?! Would be awesome if they are authentic!

@abigailelizabeth919: I’m sorry. These are Fake. I own 3 pairs of Louboutins and I immediatley knew by looking at the sole of the shoe that this was a fake. Authentic pairs will have “Chrisitan Louboutin” “Made in Italy” on the soles with the EUR size (ex. 38, 39.5) on the bottom. Fake Louboutins will have “Chrisitan Louboutin” also with “Made in Italy” and the EUR size but… you will many times see all one word “MADEINITALY” Here’s some pics. The pic on the right is of an authentic pair of Louies and the pic on the left is a replica. Hope this helps.

Sorry, total fakes. Hopefully you didn’t pay much for them.

@mmr66: I agree with other posters – definitely fake

@Sweetescape1976: wow – you are good! So the leather symbol is a total giveaway then…

@mmr66: A great go to for designer items is Ebay surprisingly. As quoted by @Sweetescape1976: Ebay often provides insight into determining a real from a fake.
Another huge give away is the stitching. Every Louboutin shoe is immaculately made, even my old wedges I’m wearing now. Another thing is real Louboutin heels don’t have flat soles. In other words the bottom is not completely flat, they have a slight ridge to them, don’t know how to describe it.

@Nic01: No, its not. The leather symbol is featured on authentic CL shoes. The bottoms of the shoes can vary depending on the season.
The best thing to keep an eye out for is quality of the shoe over anything else. Also, note that CL shoes do not have a varnish on the bottom of them…it is merely red colored leather that will easily wear away with use on hard surfaces. Most replicas use varnish.

Thanks Ladies! I spent what I consider to be no big loss if they were (and are replicas). I didn’t find the ebay guides for Louboutin very helpful, I referenced it prior to purchasing them. I sell a lot on ebay (hence why these were bought) and use the guides fairly often. I’m pretty good with vintage COOGI, Burberry, and a few others, but I have never come accross Louboutin (real or fake). Thanks for all the tips/your help!
