You should check out the these search results!  It appears as though a number of ladies in the Hive have had great experiences with fiftyflowers.  I know that I considered them for DIY arrangements before ultimately deciding on a florist.

I hope this helps!

I’m using them, but my wedding isn’t for another 2 weeks so I can’t really say too much yet. However, they did call me right after I placed my order to confirm that everything was right and to make sure everything would be delivered at the right time so that the flowers look their best on the wedding day. Also, I looked at a lot of the reviews on here first and they seemed to get really good reviews from brides that had already used them. I also checked the better bussiness bureau’s website and they only had a couple minor complanits that didn’t really seem to be their fault (like the flowers didn’t make it in time because there was a hurricane or something so the shippment got delayed after it had already it had already left their farm)

My Future Sister-In-Law used them, and was very happy with the results!  She used them for her aisle, guest tables, etc…and they were absolutely beautiful!  I’m definitely planning on using them for our wedding too.  Our florist said if we were to do petals through her, it would cost $3.75 a rose, so using fifty flowers will be much, much more affordable.  Good luck!

I’m using them but haven’t yet received my flowers. I signed up for their emails and got notice that my flowers were on sale for 15% off a while back, and I could still order them at the sale price and have them delivered on my desired date (later in May). I got 200 rannuculus and plan to just put them in a variety of vases, so no real flower "arranging". This is why I went with the DIY route.

Almost immediately after I placed the order, I got a phone call from a friendly rep to confirm my order and see if I had any questions over what to do when the flowers arrive. I’m very impressed with their service and information available for those of us who are new to caring for flowers.

I read a bunch of reviews and hope things turn out well for me! I really think I’m going to be pleased.

Hi. I just wanted to report back on the flowers. Everything arrived on time and very well packaged. I got a call from someone at fiftyflowers after my shipments arrived asking if I had any questions and letting me know how I should take care of them.

One word of advice: order the flowers in the timeframe they tell you! I was a bit worried the flowers would be dying when it said to have them arrive 2-3 days before the wedding so I went on the low end (1-2 days) and most of my flowers weren’t completely opened. They really are shipped fresh and they have the timeframe down.

The first batch of flowers I got:

wow LeiAnn, those are gorgeous! I especially love the multi-hued pink ones! I used fiftyflowers for my rose petals back in 2007 and loved them!

This is all good to hear! I’m ordering all of my filler flowers from them (the Centerpiece with Height Combo Pack) and it’s good to hear they have such great customer service and their flowers are fresh! It makes me feel so much more at ease about ordering flowers online!

I just placed my order! I heard some good things about them and they really were the best price I could find! (even with the exchange rate)

I ordered the 12,000 creamy white petals! so excited!

Hi girls! For those of you who used this site or something similar, did you store your flowers in any special way? My mom is worried that since we won’t have access to a florist’s fridge that the flowers will die/wilt/whatever in the 2-3 days between delivery and wedding. I’m getting married in Colorado in the end of August, so it will definitely be warm, but not ridiculously hot.

I was just planning on putting them in water when they got there…am I being completely naive here?

@GretaB: It wasn’t incredibly hot when I got my flowers, but it was pretty warm. The heat might affect different flowers differently.  Mine did really well. I kept them in buckets of water on the kitchen floor.

It was a lot of work to trim the stems and change the water, but totally worth it. They turned out beautifully. I took the buckets to the wedding and my mom and aunts put them in the vases before the wedding.

@mary-alice – Thanks! That makes me feel better. I’m anticipating it being a little work, but you can get SO much more for your money from one of these places than from a florist, so I think it’s going to be worth it! Thanks again.

Hi GretaB! I live in Florida and it was in the 90’s when I got married so pretty warm (and we usually keep our house at 76-78 degrees). I just cut about an inch off right away and stuck them in cool water in large buckets with the plant food provided and kept them out of direct sunlight.

My flowers arrived in 2 batches, one batch 2 days before the wedding and the other the day before. I cut and arranged them all the afternoon/evening before the wedding and they were fine. Actually, a lot were still pretty tight. I wish I had ordered a few days earlier so they’d be more open.

Also, we left on our honeymoon right away, but my Mother-In-Law said she took some home and they held up for 1 or 2 whole weeks after the wedding.

Good luck!
