Really, I have no idea how I was conceived, just that it happened earlier than my parents planned, but I wasn’t a surprise… Whatever that means. lol

I was an “accident” due to a failure of the “nah, you’re not ovulating” method. I’m the 3rd child, and my older siblings are just under two years apart, so they had meant for a larger gap, but I’m just under 2 years younger than my brother. But after I was born and they realized they’d created perfection, my dad got a vasectomy. ๐Ÿ˜›

@ruby26:  Your mom had 3 sets of twins?! And without IVF/hormone therapy or anything? Just completely natural?! Thats nuts! I only hope to be that lucky, haha. I want twins SO bad.

My parents had been married for over 10 years when I was conceived.  They waited that long on purpose.  My sister and I were VERY well planned.  The only thing they goofed on was exactly when I was conceived.  After Mom was pregnant, Dad did the math and figured out I was going to be born in March.  In Montana.  It would most likely be during a snowstorm.  Sure enough, I was.

@PatientBee:  I don’t know about myself and my brother other than we were all planned. My sister, though, we know about. My mom was ovulating, called my dad to get home from work NOW. Boss had just gotten pregnant and let him go.He had the flu at the time. They got pregnant with my sister. We always joke that my sister has so many health issues because she was conceived with flu-ridden sperm.

My mother told me the story long ago. She wanted another baby, so she stopped taking the pill, and on Labor Day weekend when they were camping, I was conceived.

Doesn’t bother me one bit to know the details.

I was a surprise. my dad had radiation and chemo for his cancer and was told he couldn’t have any more babies. They had already had my older sister, so they were ok/settled with that. Well, about 2 years after my sister had been born they moved into a bigger house. And then celebrated.

9 months later, SURPRISE!

All i know is I always assumed I was an accident (9 years between me and older siblings). Turns out i was very planned, took them nine years to be ready/want another kiddo. Happened immediately after mom went off bc. Thats all im comfortable with knowing!

@LeonardLady:  @GrannyPantiesRock:  Haha, yep. No outside help. Needless to say, Darling Husband turns green at any mention of us having babies. ๐Ÿ™‚

I wish I had a cool story though! DH’s siblings were all conceived on special occassions… it’s funny to be able to do the math!

Nope! Nor do I care to. Although my brothers and I had a realization recently. All three of our birthdays fall almost exactly (give or take about a week) 9 months after valentines day or one of our parents birthdays. #shudder

ETA- I am aware hashtags are worthless here, I just can’t think of a more appropriate way to express my shudder.

I don’t know mine, but my SO and his older brother share the same birthday – November 13th.

Nearly 9 months after Valentine’s Day… ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have no idea about my conception, lol, but my mom has mentioned that she got pregnant with me the very first time they tried. Also she has 5 siblings, so I’m hoping good fertility runs in the family!
