I did and we looked in person as well together. I saw a ring from Rogers and Hollands that I loved and he ended up getting me almost the same ring with more diamonds and of a better quality.

We did. I proposef to him with an inexpensive ring “for show” not thinking that hed actually want to wear it. Its a hair to big, so he wears it on his pointer. When i wanted to look at rings, i plopped down on his lap and we looked together, finding one we both liked for me. When it came to look at rings for him, he plopped down on my lap ๐Ÿ™‚

We looked together. I’m a little picky about jewelery, and he knew this.  We designed the ring together.

We’ve been looking online for about a year! It’s mostly for ideas, for him, but I’ve quit looking since he told me he picked one out ๐Ÿ™‚

We looked together. He asked me to show him what I would like. My ring is currently being made but he will not tell me when it’s coming.

We haven’t exactly looked at rings together online, but SO did something else that made my jaw drop recently.

We were looking through the tvguide and when I flipped past JTV and he saw the title said Mossanite, he said, “Wait, go back, I want to see that.”  Cue widened eyes.

I wrote a post recently about how I told him I wanted moissanite and he was completely on board and enthusiastic about it, but I still can’t believe he wanted to watch JTV to see it!  He’s been a lot more interested in engagement-like things than I’d have thought given that I can’t imagine his actually proposing until 6 months – 1 year from now.  Still, I’m happy ๐Ÿ™‚

To answer your second question, I think it was more out of general interest than actually starting to plan anything.

Yes, we went to the store together earlier this year. I narrowed it down to 3 options and got sized. No idea what he chose, but the ring is a done deal now. ๐Ÿ™‚

We actually went to 4 different stores and I tried on rings with him. We chose “the ring” together and he went back to get it when I wasn’t with him…and then waited like 3 months to propose.

Yes. He hand-picked my diamond so in the process of him learning about all of the characteristics of a diamond, he became obsessed with looking at diamonds and rings on-line. lol  Every now and again, I’d indulge him and pull up a page of solitaire rings just to hear him go on and on about the fine details of each ring. But now, I’m bored with it and just want my ring. lol

I did! I showed him which ones I liked.

We looked because I showed him what I liked (online and in stores).  I picked out my ring.

We went to many stores together! It was a lot of fun and he was happy knowing it was a ring that I absolutely loved

@FrannyW:  Sure did! He hasn’t presented one to me yet but I’m hoping it’s coming soon because I’m dying with anticipation. We used to look at them online together to give him ideas, but also looked on Etsy with sincere interest to buy should we find something of interest. I used to get so excited when he’d suggest to me “hey, let’s look at rings online”. I am guilty of checking on this particular ring on Etsy to see if it’s still available or not…being sneaky to see if he’s bought it even thought I want it to be a surprise.

We did look at rings online, but it wasn’t a planned online shopping experience.  He would mention rings when a commercial popped up on TV, and asked if I liked that style.  He would also text me pics he snapped online from his phone and ask if I liked them.  We only went to a jewelry store twice to look at rings in person.
