I’m making my first turkey this year. Super excited! I’ll be brining it the night before using a recipe from a family friend’s brother. Then per his recipe I’ll be injecting it with a butter and maple syrup mixture. Can’t wait!

I’m a baker and not a cook so Fiance is making the turkey. He puts butter, lemon and sage under the skin and covers it with bacon. The bacon makes it so you don’t have to baste it. I’ll be baking some pies.

Hubs does the turkey every year. He brines it for 24 hours and then BBQs it. SO GOOD! And it cooks faster than in the oven!
