Just out of curiosity…anyone elope, have a small wedding, or just plain marry in Nashville? I picture it being very “country” and have a lot of country music history…Correct me if I’m wrong lol. It kind of sounds fun and right up our ally…Not sure what Fiance would think so I’m gathering more research first:)

I’m getting married there…it’s a pretty awesome place! You can make it as country as you like. There are lots of beautiful farms near rolling hills to get married at. Let me know if you have any questions!

@ebet24: Thanks! What size is your wedding? Where are you getting married exactly?

I’m getting married at Lakeside Resort about an hour east of Nashville. There will be about 75 people but the venue holds 250 I think. Spring Haven in Goodlettsville, TN (like 20 minutes north of Nashville) was a close second…it’s a beautiful mansion next to a creek. Other venues in/around Nashville that are beautiful include Cedarwood, Legacy Farms, and Blackhaven Wedding Gardens.

You can have whatever type of wedding you want in Nashville! You can have a very country-like wedding just on the outskirts – like at loveless barn. You can even get married at the Country Music Hall of Fame and at the Ryman Auditorium.
I got married downtown in an old warehouse and had a very elegant and modern wedding. It was beautiful.
Casual, funky weddings can be just as fun too.
