We are having our wedding in October & our reception space has muted yellow/golden walls other than that & lots of green I really dont want to do dark fall colors.
Our theme in 50’s/french with a tiny bit of rabbits in the decor.
I know this is a baby shower but I really got some inspiration here. I know tulips arent a good idea but I really love the pop of color with all the white. I might do another color like peach or lavender or maybe the pink. I also really like the pussy willows in the one flower arrangement.
Just wondering if anyone else went against the typical fall look?

No dark colors for us- champagne, gold, and rose gold. I wanted a soft, warm, and feminine color palette.

We’re doing yellow and silver/gray for our September wedding. Forget the “rules”… if you like it, do it!

Ours will be a winter wedding, and we are going with a pale palette, with a pop of red provided by narrow velvet ribbons in various places. Your theme sounds absolutely lovely! We have bunnies incorporated into our theme as well. 🙂

We got married last November, and our colors were blush and lilac. I don’t care for fall colors, so I went with what I liked.

me! we are October 2016 and are doing light/ciel blue bridesmaids, navy groomsmen and a lot of cream, greenery, gold and maybe a pop of orange. Fall in Indiana is beautiful so I’m hoping that will give us the “fall” feel without doing all fall colors
this is an inspiration by a photography couple known as Cory and Jackie:

Thanks you. Thats so cool that you are having bunnies too. How are you adding your bunnies?
We are getting married in October 2016 too & we also live in Indiana.

I’ve been collecting brass bunny figurines and bunny stuff for as long as I can remember, and the bunnies will be making an appearance on our tables at the reception, with 3 or 4 on each table along with votives, and winter flowers picked out with little narrow red velvet ribbons. Colors are pale water green, cream, champagne, gold and the tiny pop of true red as I mentioned. I found a Bunnykins wedding couple at an antique shop, they will be our cake topper. Our table numbers will be watercolors of different bunny breeds (I have a very good friend who’s an artist doing this for us). Beatrix Potter did a lot of really sweet bunnies other than Peter Rabbit, and I think I’ll have some of those prints incorporated in signage, too.
Your French and bunny theme is a sweet matchup. How are you using them in your wedding?

You can do anything! I did navy, Kelly green and hot pink in July!

Everything you described sounds SO lovely. Beatrix does do some sweet bunnies… like this one.
Fiance & I love bunnies so much. We even have bunny nicknames for eachother.
As far as bunnies in our wedding. We are doing a bunny cake topper of course, the bunny hop lol, little bunnies on the tables & bunny artwork on our wedding programs. Thats all I got so far.

The only thing I wouldn’t do in fall/autumn is really bright, clear colours like hot pink, electric blue or lemon. Especially if there is foliage – I think it would clash with those colours.
That said, it still leaves you with plenty of options. Muted pastels, darker jewel tones, metallics, monochromatics (black/white). I think navy looks great in autumn as well.

We’re doing blush, rose, gold, and cream.

I’ve been told by my SIL that our colors aren’t really fall, and I don’t care. This is similar to our colors, but we will have copper or rose gold accents and centerpieces for some contrast. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/96545985739856042/

- Wedding: September 2016 - Hacienda Sarria
This is almost the same as our colours! I think it still looks fall-ish 🙂
