I just knew that picking my dress was the most crucial part of the whole planning for me because of course nothing could really go completely wrong on my day if I looked and felt beautiful. I almost compulsively bought a couple out of desperation and im glad i didnt. After trying on so many different gowns that made me feel like a whale, I finally found THE ONE. Im so excited to finally wear it im sure its stressful to NOT want to wear yours. Hopefully if your hair and make up is done perfect you will feel better!

@tammyt112: Me too! I spent five months looking at almost every dress option out there in the style I wanted, was giving up hope, until I found it!
But I don’t think there has to be a “moment” where the dress makes you feel a certain way. I happen to love all dresses and own tons in all kinds of styles. But if you want to rock a cocktail dress and heels on your wedding day, DO IT. And sell that $4000 dress right after your wedding!!

Sell it?! Awww I don’t think I can do that! See? I don’t love the dress, but I have some sort of sentimental attachment to it!

I know how you feel! I never had an AHA moment with my dress and I really didn’t think I would ever get it despite trying on a ton of dresses. Its really not my thing to wear a gown either but I just think about the actual marriage part and try to remember that I could wear a potato sack and it wouldn’t matter because in the end i would be married.
