I answered on your other post, but I took 2 pregnancy tests, one about 13-14 days after ovulation (negative) and one 29 or so days past (I have varying cycle lengths and was tired of getting depressed after each negative) that was positive.

However, I remember reading that on average, it takes the fertilized egg anywhere from 6-12 days to implant, and then 2-3 days for it to show up in your blood, and 2-3 days after that for it to show in your urine. So, quickest case scenario, 10 days (6+2+2) or longest 18 (12+3+3)…so, don’t give up hope yet!

I have been pregnant twice and never got a BFP before 15-16 DPO.  I had to truly miss my period before the positive would come.  Knowing this never stopped me from peeing on sticks before that though!

Good luck, I hope you get the BPF soon!

I was a week late last month and was NOT pregnant.  Most of my tests were done after I missed my period, so I doubt I can be very helpful.

@Tatum: <– I’ve seen that on multiple sites, also, so I’d use that as a basis.  If you’re using OPK’s, then you’ll know when you ovulated.

I used it last month and will be using ’em again this month (if I’m not pregnant).  I took a First Response test Tuesday that was negative, but I got a positive OPK on the 26th.  So it could’ve been too soon.

I just looked at the calendar. I ovulated January 15. Got BFP on February 4th. Exactly 20 days.

It was 11 DPO for me, but even then it was a very faint positive about 15 dpo i got a strong positive. I used the clear blue easy ones that say you can test like 5 days sooner.

Are you certain of your ovulation date and are you charting?  I think TCOYF says that 18 days of elevated temps typically indicates pregnancy – whether or not the test says so.  If you don’t get a positive test or your period in the next few days, you can always go to the doctor.  Good luck!

I don’t know if they use anything besides the POAS tests, but could you go to a health clinic to get tested? Like Planned Parenthood? Just to confirm?
