I’m not getting fake nails. I think it would be very pretty to have a light, pearly pink color. If you have your nails well-shaped, it will be a lovely polished look.

I just did french manicure and I think it looked nice. I have also seen a nude color that is a little shiny and that looks nice too!

I didn’t have fake nails and I didn’t even paint them with clear nail polish. We whitewater rafted the day before the wedding, so it would’ve been ruined if I had. Honestly, I loved it because I was all dressed up, but my nails were me.

I swear by the No-Chip manicures. They put on regular-looking nail polish and then cure it under a UV light, which means no drying time afterwards. They last about 2-3 weeks depending on how quickly your nails grow, and your nails aren’t thick like they would be with acryllics.

I’d look into that! You can get the french or choose color.

I have no idea.  Typically they are just painted a neutral color – right now they are Essie “Mademoiselle” which is just a pale, neutral pink.

Problem is, I work with my hands a lot, and my polish chips pretty quickly. I usually repaint every 2-3 days.

I don’t like acrylics – I wore them off and on in high school – prom, etc. and they always looked cheap and almost like talons.

A friend got her nails done recently, and they looked fantastic.  They were a version of acrylics, but they looked amazing.  I may consider doing them.  Apparently they are nearly chemical free, and much better for your natural nails.

No I won’t. I firmly believe you should stick to your normal look and style  just more glamed up.

So if you don’t wear fake nails, then way do it on your wedding day.

I’m planning on either a nice clear polish or a half-moon manicure, but no fake nails for me. I had them once about six months ago (for my birthday–decided to treat myself and try them, but it was no treat, man) and they completely wrecked my natural nails.

I’m not a fake nail fan. My parents scared me away from them when I was young b/c they can cause infections and fungus, and my mom would never let me get them. I had to learn to grow my own nails.

I actually prefer natural nails with a color on them. I did light pink.

I had fake nails once, for my junior prom in 1991, and I hated them so much. They looked fake and felt awful and I pried them off by myself in the car on the way home.

I’m either going to go au naturale for my wedding, or paint them a pale neutral.

I’m rocking my real nails. I use to get fake nails for years. Seriously from age 16-25. Every 3 weeks. I would let them breathe every 6 months for a month. Ugh. It’s taken almost 2 years for them to start getting healthy again after years of abuse.

Sally Hansen Hard Nails. Buy it and use it! And if you can get a manicure every 2-3 weeks. I am painting mine with a solid color. Pink, yellow, or maybe cotton candy.

I’m goin natural for my nails. I’ve done acrylic I think once before for my birthday… although I’m pretty blessed to have strong nails. When I would get my nails done at the salon they first used to think they were fake and ask me if I was getting a re-fill. lol

I’ve never had fake nails on in my life!

Just make sure your own nails are cut nice and clean…put on some nice polish, and you’ll be fine!

I was actually thinking about this the other week. I have beautiful long nails naturaly because I can’t paint them for work so I think I’m going to do them as either my something blue or a nude color.

I’m lucky to have really hard nails that grow like crazy and never break or rip, but I hate the feeling of long nails! I don’t think I could deal with the feeling of long fake ones. I think I will go for a regular mani in a pale peachy color.

I don’t like fake nails so I let mine grow a little longer than normal and got french tips painted on.  They looked great and my nails weren’t ruined!!
