I am still considering whether I am going to get acrylic nails or not.  I used to wear them all the time, and then I had them removed because I couldn’t afford the upkeep.  Now I can afford it again, but I’m really picky. They have to look perfect, and I no longer have a manicurist that I trust.

I will probably just go for weekly manicures starting soon, so my nails are in really good shape, and then wear a pail pink.

I’ve found that OPI doesn’t seem to last very long with natural nails, but Sally Hansen Diamond Strength last really well.  I found a Sally Hansen color I love, 33 Champagne Toast.  It is a pail pink that is dark enough to notice it is pink, but not bright at all.

I have a shellac manicure right now and I love it! It last for 2 weeks and they are your real nails, just cured nail polish.  If you start getting them a few weeks before you get married your nails will probably grow a bit.  I have a french mani right now and my nails are not long at all.

I am definitely not getting fake nails, one reason because I’m a nurse and absolutely cannot wear them for work, and because my finance absolutely hates fake nails.  I’ve never had them so I probably wouldn’t like them either.  I plan on keeping them short but painting my nails to look like I have a french manicure.  I may grow them out just a little longer than I usually keep them, just not too long for work.  My friend did this for her wedding and it really looked like she had fake nails.  They looked great!

I’m not sure what to do with mine, my pinky had a jagged edge that i had no choice but to cut it, its not quite short compared to my other fingers. I’ve never worn fake nails either so not sure what that would feel like. Is the best way to go is to paint them opaque in a lighter neutral colour and hope nobody notices?

I’ve never been a big fan of fake nails, I tried them for my high school prom waaaay back when and hated them on me! I’m probably just going to go with a french gel manicure and call it a day

Don’t do fake! It’s so bad for your nails. Gel manis look just as nice, last forever and (I think) look more natural and classy 🙂
