We’re not… we just don’t care enough. Sad to say, I know.

We’re not. I’d love to, but I refuse to hire someone just for the sake of having videography, and the type of videography I would WANT is very expensive. We may ask a friend to record some things with our personal camera, but I’ll be happy with photos alone.

We are not having one either. We took a poll from all of our married couple friends – we asked them how many times they have seen or they watch their wedding video and they said they have viewed it less that 5 times. Well for the amount of $$ they are, we passed. FH used to be in TV and so we’re asking one of his friends (guest at the wedding who is still in TV) to shoot some video but nothing major……He is coming to the rehearsal as well, just to capture a little bit. Then at the end FH will tie it all together and create our own video Smile

I am just going to have someone we know film the important parts of the day. I think it’s important to have good quality photographs, but the video isn’t as important to have a professional do it in my opinion. And its true, you will look at the photos more often than you would a video probably.

We won’t have one. When I talk to people they say they flip through their photos more than watch their video. My sister has been married 15 years and watched her video once.

I am also not having one, but we might ask a family friend just to film a few things for us. We don’t really care, and having a videographer is not in our budget (not the kind I would want anyway…Still Motion anyone? *sigh*)

We aren’t. It’s just not in the budget. We decided that photos were more important to us than a fancy edited video. Especially since the kind I like is way expensive. As long as we have the ceremony on tape to show the future kiddies, that’s all that matters to us. You definitely aren’t alone.

I agree with the PPs – I couldn’t justify spending a lot of money on something I’d rarely watch, especially when I will have a photo album and other pictures to look at a lot more often.

We’re not going to have video either. I’ve seen some examples of videographers in our area and most were just filming the bridal party posing for pictures, or the graphics were cheesy. If a friend volunteers to record a few things here and there, I’ll definitely welcome it, but I think we’re just going to stick with the photos.
