We are doing a little honeymoon but have known several people that couldn’t afford it. A couple of my friends did “staymoons” where they stayed home for several days, turned off their phones and just concentrated on each other. They had such cute pictures to share when they got “back.” Just an idea!

We didn’t. We have been together for near 8 years and have 2 kids…we finally wanted to make it official. We could have saved more for a honeymoon but there was no way we were parting from our kids.I don’t feel bummed about not going on one at all!

We can’t, I go back to school 10 days after and it’s one of the busiest weeks for my Fiance at work. We are going on a cruise in January, though.

We didn’t.  We moved a month after the wedding so there was no time to travel.

We stayed in a nicer hotel room the night of the wedding and then just stayed home for a week after. No taking work calls, no facebooking, just enjoyed eachothers company and ate tons of left over wedding food. It was amazing!

6 months later we finally went on our honeymoon and it made all the sweeter having time to decompress after the wedding and enjoy being husband and wife for awhile. It was my first time flying and I was a wreck so I am actually very glad we did not go right after getting married.

We will probably stay in the country and spend a few days on the coast… somewhere nice and rural. No honeymoon for us… we can’t afford it!

We are doing a destination wedding so I guess that kind of counts. We are going to wait on the actual honeymoon for about 6 or 8 months and then do something really cool like Africa.

There’s a strong possibility that we won’t. We just don’t have the money for it. If we can’t we’re planning on taking on on our one year anniversary.

We took a week off for the wedding & couldn’t take another week to honeymoon right away.  Well be honeymooning in September.

We’re kinda like @joymarie83, we have 2 kids and have been together for years. We don’t have the money for a honeymoon, but didn’t want to wait any longer to get married. We go on little family vacations (like just a weekend) and that’s good enough for us for now.

Nope.  We closed on our first house yesterday, wedding in 2 months.  Spending pretty much every spare dime on fixing up the house.  Investing in the future!  That “staymoon” is a cute idea!

I don’t think we’ll be able to go either and I’m super bummed about this fact Frown We will be really tight on money and we’re hoping that Fiance will be getting a new job before the wedding. He’s a cop right now and we’re looking to move to a larger area with much better pay…things are looking really good, but if anyone knows about law enforcement jobs…they take FOREVER to get through the hiring process. We’ve kinda guestimated that if he does get hired it’ll be right around the time of the wedding and he’ll only be able to get the weekend of the wedding off.
