Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone plans on not taking a honeymoon (or maybe waiting much longer to take one?)
Dear Fiance and I dont have one planned at the moment. We have a 7 month old lil girl so I’m not quite ready to leave her alone yet. We may do an over-night stay at a cottage not far from DF’s parents place, but still debating that one!

We arent taking one because Fiance is in law school and he has recruitment things the month of August and then is obviously in school. We are hoping to take one next summer (maybe for our first anniversary).
Its a little sad that we wont be doing one right after the wedding, but the most important thing is that we will be married!

FireCapt and I are not going on a honeymoon either. I have a lot of family coming from out of state, he’s got friends coming from out of state. We travel quite regularly as it is…soo we decicded to stay and hang out with our peeps instead of asking them to drive/fly 1000s of miles and then not be able to spend any time with them….you are not alone 😉

As far as I know we arn’t. Can’t afford it with everything else we are paying for. We go to Florida every winter though for a week so we’ll just count that as our honeymoon.

We’re doing a couple days at a little B&B, but no official honeymoon. My mom is having major surgery on July 12th and will be in ICU for at least three days so we’re making sure we’re around to help her and my ailing father instead.

We’re not. We couldn’t afford to take the kind of trip we wanted to right after the wedding (a week in Hawaii), so we’ve decided to save up and maybe go during the winter.

Darling Husband and I did not yet. We will be married seven months this month. I am sure we will go on a vaca eventually, but we also have a young child ( he just turned 2) and I didnt want to leave him. Plus we thought that as nice as a honeymoon would be we could put the money to better use. So we paid off ALL of our debt and then put some money away for a down payment on a house.
I think its nice to be able to take your honeymoon right after your wedding, but it just wasnt for us. The night of our wedding we spent the night in a nice hotel and that was good enought for us LOL.

We aren’t doing one right away since we paid for the majority of our wedding ourselves. We are thinking maybe this Fall if funding works out, otherwise it won’t be for probably 1 year. I know more and more people that are waiting to take them.
