They just are not my style…  THAT is for sure, but I have seen some Brides they look fabulous on.

One thing I noticed though…  they do not come in plus sizes.  So it dont matter if I loved it anyhow.

Although I don’t have one (yet) I feel very protective of this line! I think (as pink sequins eloquently put it) for some brides, they see the designs and just instantly know that it’s the ‘one’. That’s why they are so popular and always look amazing on those who buy them. Yes, they’re obviously not for everyone, but the same could be said about anything.

To say they are ‘cheaply made’ and ‘terrible’ is uncalled for.

@RonneyKay – the plus sizes start on June 22nd in the new seasons collection btw!

I really don’t understand your motive to posting this though…?

I think it’s very rude and intentionally “baiting,” as the mods and hostesses call it, to post something like this.

How would you feel if a random bee posted a thread called “I hate Justin Alexander dresses” and then in the thread goes on to say: “the quality is crap and the dresses are ugly!” …. ? Doesn’t feel so good, does it?

@WineAndCupcakes: I actually flagged this thread as baiting 8 hours ago, I am not sure why its still up, because it really feels like baiting.

Saying you’re “not in love” with these dresses is one thing, saying they’re cheap and terrible is another. Personally, I don’t *love* every single dress in the line, but I do find some of them quite beautiful.

I LOVE these dresses! You cannot go wrong with Vera Wang. I love that she has made these dresses just as unique and beautiful but at a more attractive price tag so “normal” girls can have a chance to wear Vera. I personally would not buy one though due to the high popularity of them. I feel there are TONS of bees on here with a dress from this collection! I would just not want every other girl to have my dress!!!

personally, i am not a fan of the line, but that’s because it doesn’t fit my style.  I applaud for her being “budget friendly”.  I won’t degrade it especially just by seeing it online vs infront of my face  But some bees love those gowns.  And as they should.  Just because they didn’t buy it at a Kleinfeld-esque store doesn’t change who designed it.

I’m a little confused as to why it’s ok for some bees to repeatedly call honeymoon registries (and the like) “gift-grabby, tacky, etc.”, yet this OP is flagged for saying she thought the dresses looked terrible and cheaply made (for the record, I don’t agree or disagree either way).  Isn’t it her opinion, just like it’s the opinion of many on this site that honeymoon registries are tacky?  I don’t think she should be flagged for her opinion or accused of baiting unless there is further proof of this.  JMO (not that it matters).

    @VegasSukie:

Well for one, I do not agree with those brides either, calling anything tacky is a hot button around here.

But an unprovoked thread, created solely for picking on the dress choices of a number of bees, is completely out of line. There can only be one motivation for doing so and that is to put those Bee’s down, I should hope the whole community feels that is not ok. Opinions do not always need to be voiced especially when unsolicited.

They are ok…I just don’t like them on the model. Everytime I get on db’s website i think uhh she looks washed out for some reason.

You either get vera wangs style or you dont. I personally love vera wang and really like the White collection especially the blush gowns. People are buying the dresses because they are made/inspired by a top bridal designer whose gowns are normally several thousand dollars. I think a little common sense goes a long way in creating posts that wont rub people the wrong way

@LessIsMoore: Yes exactly. It’s one thing responding to etiquette questions, and it’s another posting unsolicited offensive statements.

OP-If you don’t like the DB Vera dresses, that’s cool. But why the need to post about it? It just hurts people’s feelings for no good reason.

If you have nothing nice to say then dont say it… just laugh to yourself and dont hurt others. My opinion on why these dresses are cheaper cost is because they are made of cheaper fabrics. A pricier gown is better quality fabric. You get what you pay for… bottom line.
