I was iffy on mine up to the day of the wedding.  I went shopping once, it was 6 sizes too big, but I just never went shopping again and had to go with it.  But once the hair and make up was done and everything put together I loved it.  And the deal was really sealed when my husband said I nailed it and how “me” it was.

Me! I am all over these boards second guessing my dress. So I don’t have any advise for you but just wanted to say I know how you feel.

Yes I am still lol. I have a dress now that I hate. I love the material but it isnt me at all. I think I am a plain jane but with a bit a pizazz:) I loved loved loved a ballgown at DB and it got ruined(by them) then discontinued now trying to fill that void with something completely different. So I had to take store credit and chose one. The details are not me at all. I am thinking ballgown is it for me again now haha!! You may or may not have the moment but in the end shouldn’t be “stuck” with ur dress.

I am able to relate to how you are feeling. I am plus size, so I was limited in what I was able to try on in a sample dress. I went to the top two bridal salons in my area and ended up buying the one dress that I really thought I loved.  However, once I saw myself in my wedding pics, I definitely began to suffer from dress regret, especially after discovering “Say Yes to the Dress” as well as so many of the beautiful dresses of other bees here. There definitely are times I wish I could go back and make a different decision.  However, since that is impossible, I have had to come to peace with myself, knowing that, at the time, I really did make the best decision I could have made, given the information I had and the options with which I had been presented. It’s probably a good thing, too. If I HAD seen SYTTD before I was married, I likely would have tried on and fallen in love with an outrageously expensive dress, lol.

Me, sort of. I know I love my dress, but I had a really hard time choosing between mine and the “runner up.” The runner up sample fit me perfectly, whereas my sample was too small, so I’m hoping that’s part of the difference. I’m picking up my dress on the 30th and hope I fall in love (again). If not, I know it’s still a BEAUTIFUL dress that I will be happy with. (Plus, for me, there’s no alternative. I can’t order the runner up this late in the game, and I’m not going to sell an unused dress for a portion of what I paid, especially not in the midst of all the other planning I need to do!)

@cherryblossomlove: I would love to go looking with you! Really!!!

I have already been to Uptown but they didn’t have anything I wanted and Suzanne’s has the Justin Alexander that I want. I would love to have another girls opinion. If you really want to go together PM me and we can set something up…After Christmas of coarse! hehe

Sorry for the thread hijackEmbarassed

I know how  you feel! I was very unsure about my dress when I bought it and then when it came in I realized I hated it! I ended up getting a different dress and I am so glad that I did!! I got that feeling that I was looking for so don’t let anyone tell you that you might not get it because I think you can. 🙂

Yup- I ended up buying the dress that got the best reaction from my mom/FMIL. I don’t think I would have picked that dress if I was on my own.

Me, definitely.

There are days when I think I love it and others when I totally second guess myself. I keep thinking I should have gotten something a bit ‘sexier’ like a mermaid or trumpet gown to accentuate my curves.

*le sigh*

I totally second guess my dress, allllll the time. Sometimes I watch Say Yes To The Dress (I know, I shouldn’t) and almost cry, worried that I made the wrong decision. Bt it is what it is, and in the end it’s just material. That’s how I look at it 🙂 You just got to stick by your decision and know that you chose that dress for a reason. Even if its a reason you are having a hard time understanding, it’s still your dress so it’s meant to be for some reason or the other. No matter what, you will look gorgeous!
