Agreed COMPLETELY! I was starting to think I was crazy for not wanting just a little bit of makeup to look “natural” since I feel like that’s all I hear when it comes to makeup… I figure if we’re shelling out over $2,000 for photos, I want to look damn good in all of them!

I LOVE this thread… and agree completely!

flamingred I totally missed your photo! You look amazing 🙂 Super glam.

I totally agree. I want to be hot and my makeup to be perfect. They better be the most perfect pictures that I have ever taken in my whole life and still look good when I’m all wrinkly and have liver spots. I can look like myself everyday but you have the one day to look like Hollywood drove up to the front door and gave you the hottest version of yourself.

Oh me too! I want to look glamorous and sexy…lol.

PFFT, I was so happy when I read this post!! I feel EXACTLY the same. I have huge ‘jolie’ lips naturally – I’m doing bright red lips with catty eye liner. I’m embracing my lips, I want to look vintage magazine fab – Fake eye lashes and all
I’m having a huge feathered flower in my hair with netting in it and bling… And Let’s not forget the extensions.

*waves my hand* love this thread! I dont feel confident with my everyday look but when I had my hair and makeup trial I felt amazing and glamorous, totally not what is “normal me.” And I loved it! It is exactly the way I want to look/feel on my wedding day 🙂

Oh, me me me!!! I want his jaw to drop and for him to think that he didn’t even know it was possible for me to look that good!

ME ME ME!!!! I want to walk down the aisle and have people take a double take because they cannot recognize me! I want to look absolutely stunning!

LOVE this thread…… Ummm as you-all can see from my avatar I am a Diva!!! And if you-all have checked out the sneak peek of my bridals I 100 percent don’t look like myself :o)… Well.. That’s not true. I am glamtastic and think I look EXACTLY like myself everyone else disagrees and said I look different but “fierce” was the term the photogs kept using.
I was going for glamorous art deco screen siren sex kitten (that is exactly what I told the m/u artist). She teased and asked if I wanted whiskers…. I saw the pictures and OMG she nailed it!!!!!

BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH you’re hilarious. I am totally with you on that! I want him to fall on the floor.

haha. Awesome! I love that!
The more I think about it…yes, I too think that looking like a movie star is probably a look I want for my wedding day too! The dress that I bought ended up being one I didn’t initially imagine, but it makes me feel like a moviestar and is ‘luxe’ looking w. it being satin, ruched, etc. and I’ve always wanted to def. look absolutely amazing as well for my big day! 🙂
Yeah, I’m another bride to be that doesn’t usually wear make up most days or dresses up often….so I’m looking forward to it.
I don’t have a make up artist at this point…but I know that even if I don’t end up hiring someone that my BM’s -who are all pretty awesome with their make up application for themselves in the everyday- will be able to help me out! 🙂 Perhaps I can take them out on a ‘make up shopping spree’ and then they can be my make up artists for my day? We’ll see..
All in all, fantastic to hear and hope you get the look you want! 🙂
p.s. If we’re talking looking like particular movie stars like Angelina Jolie and Keira Knightly – then I say I want to look smokin’ hot like Megan Fox (but with blonde hair)!

I want to look like a SUPA STAAAR! My mom is our photographer and she has a way of making me look like a super model, God Bless Mom. I can’t wait for the whole shabang (I just hope she remembers to shave alittle of the hips for me :o)

I think you should look how YOU want to look on your wedding day, and not how your makeup artist wants you to. Make sure you let your MUA know what you hope to accomplish, give her some images to work from, and stick to your guns!! She may remind you that your wedding photos will be heirlooms that your makeup should be classic enough to not appear dated in years to come, and that is true, but that should in no way interfere with what you ultimately want on your wedding day! Cheers!
