@Charmed3: most Etsy shops I looked at (like ComfyClothing) had plus sizes available. I think you would just need to order it knee-length since she may not feel comfortable in a shorter robe. If she felt uncomfortable she could always wear a tank or something underneath.

I just received the robes I ordered off singing slowly on etsy.
They were made to measure, two of my bridemaids as well as myself are plus size.
She has some really pretty fabric too. Here are the ones I got. All available options are here http://singing-slowly.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/currently-available-fabrics-for-custom.html

I have one from Plum Pretty Sugar – I got it as a bridesmaids gift for my friends wedding, and I love it. Obviously I don’t know what it cost! I believe they used to be on etsy, but now sell from their own website.

Thank you girls! I’m going to now seriously consider robes as an additional gift! I just want to make sure everyone is as comfortable and happy as possible the day of the wedding while getting ready!

I just ordered mine from https://www.etsy.com/people/SingingSlowly
for my Bridesmaid or Best Man. They are custom made 🙂 they have tons of vintage floral patterns which I love!

My wedding was 3 weeks ago & I ordered robes for my 5 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls & myself. They turned out better than I could have imagined. I used the etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/silkandmore?ref=shopinfo_shophome_leftnav. She was very responsive to my emails & short turnaround even with the holidays. The girls loved them!
Here is a picture of my sister (MOH) & I enjoying our robes on the morning of. (Sorry it’s black & white!)

@foreverlovex: The quality is really good, however the ones I chose had different fabric which i didn’t realise.
The red one which is viscose is the nicest in my opinion, it is soft and the pattern is bright and it drapes really well.
The pink and grey ones are cotton and are a bit stiffer, i’m sure they will soften up once they are washed though. The grey is also a little bit sheer.
I got myself one of the chiffon type ones with satin trim and lining and it is really pretty.
Which patterns did you get?

@spink75: I got These 🙂 4 mint and 1 pink. The pink is cotton and mint ones are polyester silk crepe

@foreverlovex: I love that mint one. I didn’t see it when I ordered or I would probably have got it. My bridesmaid dresses are pink and mint 🙂

@cestvrai: I ordered from Just Cottons. So far, she has been in good communication, and she makes the robes to fit your Bridesmaid’s sizes and heights! Pretty cool! I haven’t received them yet, so we’ll see…

I ordered these from Etsy (same colors) and am really happy! I was a little nervous because there weren’t any reviews yet, but I took a chance and they came out nicely (and now there are reviews).

I ordered off of ComfyClothing, and while she is nice, I’m annoyed that I paid for them to be shipped on the 30th, when she did not do that.
I messaged her and because she ran out of the fabric I liked [also annoying, but it happens], they were later being made. The problem is, my wedding is on the 12th!
She promised they would be shipped today and get here by the 9th, but that’s cutting it a lot closer than I would have liked. Mind you I ordered these literally a month ago now!
So I would advise people to order a little more than a month in advance.
Also she threw in the “I’m a one woman business” line. Yes, I realize that, but when people are paying for a service, you kind of need to fulfill that in a timely manner and communicate more.

I ordered mine from Comfy Clothing February 15 and asked to have them by April 15. They arrived today! I haven’t seen them yet, though. I also had a fabric choice run out, but I liked quite a few of her patterns. overall, I am pleased with my experience – haven’t seen the product yet, though!
I definitely think ordering early is key. And giving a fake date if you have to. I took this advice from another etsy thread.

I looked on etsy and found that the ones I really liked were out of my budget. I purchased mine on amazon, and am going to take them in to have them monogrammed.
