From the About Us section of their website, looks like they have a physical store as well.  Have you checked out reviews on all the usual sites like Yelp and projectwedding.com and weddingwire.com, etc.?

As long as they’re listed as an authorized dealer of the brand you’re trying to buy, I wouldn’t be too afraid.  Have you also checked out to see if RK Bridal, Pearl’s Place or netbride.com carry the dress you want?

Hi I ordered my Casablanca Wedding gown from BestBridalPrices.com and they were great.  They price matched for me and I got the dress so much cheaper then anywhere else.  It is the real thing not a replica.  I called and ordered my dress and the lady actually put me on hold and called Casablanca directly to see if they had my dress in stock and they did.  I recieved my dress in 2 weeks.  I recommend using them you would not be disappointed.  Look for your dress on every website and then call BestBridalPrices.com they will match the price and minus 5%.

Just to refresh my memory, are you going to have the dress shipped to you in China once it arrives, and get your alterations done there before flying it to the US for the wedding?  You might want to factor in what the different companies say about international shipping, if you’re going that route.  I know most of the online vendors now offer international shipping, but you might just want to talk it over with them first, to get advice (shipping times, duty charges, clearance, etc.)

Hi daydreamwanderer – I did a lot of research on the bestbridalprices site before even thinking about ordering from there – and they check out from what I can tell.  They are based out of Wisconsin, and you’re right, it’s not replicas.  They also don’t have any complaints on BBB for ecommerce businesses.

Tomsbridal.com is a Southern California based store (like Jay’s Bridal) that is another good site.

Plussizebridal.com is cheaper on most dresses and they are based out of the US, and not replica’s either.

I was going to purchase online, but decided to go with the safety of a local salon.  I used the pricing on tomsbridal.com to help me get a lower price on my gown.

Good luck!

Plussizebridal.com is cheaper but I was nervous ordering from them because they were not listed on Casablanca’s website as a authorized dealer when bestbridalprices.com was listed.  Bestbridalprices.com matched plussizebridal.com price and took off additional 5% so I got it even cheaper.  I was so happy that day I saved $250 on my dress and I recieved it in 2 weeks!

I know I looked up Jay’s Bridal on the Sottero and Midgely website and their brick and mortar store WAS listed. I’m not sure if they still carry them or not, but at the time I was looking, they did.

I’ve experienced HouseOfBrides.com and its was far better than any other online store. Support was very friendly and they have quickest delivery. Dresses? Stunning designs of high quality of stuff at very affordable prices.
