The second pic- those dresses are gorgeous. Probably so expensuve though.

My BMs are all wearing this dress in plum from DB, but it does come in a grey as you can see hanging in her dressing room. It comes in this v-neck style, a spaghetti strap style, and the keyhole back which is what the grey one is in this picture.

my Maid/Matron of Honor picked a grey cloth she liked (I had it easy with only a single bridesmaid/MOH) and had her mom make her a long skirt out of it.  She’s sitll picking a top to go with it, but I really love this solution as not only do I think it looks great but I’m more confident she’ll get to use it later.

The reason I bring it up is I think something like that might work well for anyone–so long as enough bridesmaids can sew that is, heh, but I mean a custom made skirt will look good on anyone, and they can mix and match tops so that the dress better suits them.

Anyway, that’s the suggestion/experience I have.. but the first dress you posted looks amazing, I’d be stoked to get to wear that.

I kept checking out Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, etc.  There were several returns as some of the styles did not suit my bridesmaids.  I ended up buying these for a decent price.

Also, have you considered doing mixed dresses?  I think that would look great too!

Dark grey bridesmaid dresses are my dream!!! Azazie has a lot of selection in short or long and all body types, that’s who I’m planning on ordering from. You can see their “steel grey” color in lots of the reviews, it looks so good 🙂

I initially picked dark grey for my girls but since the guys will be in dark grey suits, I switched the girls into a light grey/silver.  My girls will also be ordering from Azazie as a pp mentioned 🙂

EvanCat:  These are my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, but I’m not sure if you can get them in the US

EvanCat:  I love all of your dress examples for the bridesmaids! My bridesmaids are all shapes and sizes too and will be wearing orange flowy high-low dresses and it looks great on all of them. Their dresses are sparkly in the bust to match my dress as well. I think the dresses you have shown would be perfect either length you decide on.

Hello bee,

My friend had the second dresses down in her wedding, she got them from eBay for about £20 each.

I’m having the same colour Bm dresses as you, I’ve decided to find the nicest ones and add sequins or sparkles myself, it’s easy enough!

Good luck

These are mine. My only suggestion would be that less is potentially more when you’re fitting lots of shapes and sizes. The sparkles tend to highlight all the lumps and bumps 😉

I also feel like I saw a ton of great sparkly options on Rent the Runway, though I’m not sure if I did see gray ones. I would check them out!

OUr colors were silver and gold. I looked for sparkley Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses but they were all out of my budget so I went with gray instead. I think the gray ended up looking really classy. They wore gold jewelry and black shoes. Kept it simple.
