I do! I love Vivaldi, but ever since I saw Black Swan, I’ve been obsessed with Tchaikovski!

I like  Vivaldi, and Mozart, and Bach. I like listening to classical music when I’m reading.

Not sure why you quoted classical, but yes, it’s my favorite type of music.  I have lots of favorite composers: Prokofiev, Brahms, Mahler, Tchaikovsky, Bartok, Berlioz, Mozart, etc.  Love chamber music and orchestral music especially.  It’s too bad my fiance doesn’t share my love of classical music, but he does come to all of my concerts, at least (community orchestra).  🙂

@JenniferG: I believe the quotes were because “classical” is actually an era and much of what normal people call classical falls into many other eras of music.

I personally love choral music, polyphonic (sp?) chant, I love Chopin, Mozart, Beetohven, Smetna, pretty much all of it. I am also a big fan of movie score kind of music. Not really “classical” but people like Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregor Williams, Howard Shore, guys like that.

I like Haydn, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Stravinsky, but Beethoven the best.  I always liked classical music but even more so after taking a music appareciation course at school.   We used “Ode to Joy” for our recessional.  Overdone, whatever, I don’t care, I have loved it since I was a teenager and nothing else expressed the mood more perfectly.

I love many kinds of music though.  My first love was Joan Jett, then classic rock (though it wasn’t classic rock at the time), then punk rock in the 80’s. 🙂

@chasesgirl: Ah.  What I was told way back when was to refer to the genre as a whole (encompassing the 17th century through the present) as lower-case classical, and the specific era (Mozart, Hadyn, early Beethoven) as upper-case Classical.

If we’re speaking of the Classical era, then my favorite is probably Mozart’s viola quintets.  They were some of the first pieces I ever listened to, and I still love them just as much now!

I do! My faves off the top of my head are Vivaldi and Mozart. But really I could listen to just about anything.
