i am on that right now! i like it but i do still get a “mini” period about half way through the 3 months. it’s only very light for a couple of days. i haven’t noticed any side effects either so all and all i am pretty happy with it 🙂

I’ve been on it for five years. I love it. I have no ‘mini periods’, although I hear they are common. For me, it’s perfect! I also spend way less on tampons/pads/etc. which is something people don’t always think of.

I’m on a generic version called “Jolessa” (I think that’s what it’s called at least!) and I really like it.  I’ve been on it for 9 months or so and have never had any break through bleeding and my periods aren’t any heavier than they normally are (I thought they’d be super heavy – but no!).

I’m on it and it seems to work just fine. I have really heavy/painful periods (endometriosis) and about 2.5 months into a second pack I start spotting. I can hold off for about a week (so i can time it to my schedule for what best fits me) but my doc says that when you’re on bc a lot, your uterine lining gets thin and it’s better to let it shed at some point. I tend to go pack to pack though without a real period in between if I can help it. So I don’t know if my spotting is due to MY body or if that’s a relatively common thing. But then i have a real one once i stop taking the bc for a week. it’s not light or mini, and it sucks, lol. Why are you considering the switch–less periods?

I get freebies from my gyno office every 3 months. so technically i spend nada on it, LOL. And I’m only on prescription painkillers a few days every few months, not 5 days a month so I’m more “together” mentally now that I’m on it.

I AM more emotional on it. I was hard as a rock emotionally on Nuvaring. LOVED THAT. It has an ick factor, but it never really bothered me. Lots of things are icky. I’m much more teary and involved on the pill. And it took a long time to get used to taking the darn thing every day. And i get nauseus occassionally. Can’t tell if it’s the BC or other bodily things acting goofy.

I prefer the shot every third month but it simply wasn’t enough hormones to stop Aunt Flo from coming to town so they switched me. Lots of people love it though and you don’t have to remember to take your pills! It’s a nice alternative!

I use Seasonique, which is the same as Seasonale except the period-week pills contain a small dose of hormones. I started this BC because I was having terrible estrogen-withdrawal headaches with the 21-day pill.

I’ve been on it for just over 2 years and rarely get any breakthrough. Usually when I do it’s stress related. All in all, it’s been great for me.
