I want to get a co-worker a Baby Bullet (like the Magic bullet) as a baby gift cause I know she likes to make her own baby food. She made it with her first who is now almost 4 so I think this would help her out to make baby food for the second. Does anyone have one of these? Do you like it?

i have the magic bullet, so i’m curious on the baby bullet… and if its really that different from the “adult version”

@blondie_bride: The difference is the baby bullet comes with little containers to store the food that is made which i think is super helpful. Hopefully some people post on if they like it or not

I don’t own one, but I don’t want one either. I have some nice food processors I’m just going to use. And then buy some reusable containers. I’m think they’re great if people want them, but I have nice food processors and blenders so I don’t want the extra clutter.
If I owned a regular bullet I wouldn’t want a baby one either.
So for me it depends on what people own already and what their style is.
I know some people that like things like the babycook but what that does is combine a steamer and processor into one appliance. Some people might like that for the convenience factor, so I get that. Since I strongly dislike clutter and extra kitchen appliances that aren’t needed (and that I won’t use forever) I’ll just use my regular steamer and processor.
That’s my opinion anyway! I cook and bake a lot and so I’m very picky about what I’m using and what I want, so I generally don’t like things people pick out unless they’re my closest friends/family. I was mad when people shopped off my registry for my wedding (kitchen-wise) 🙂

@sweetchiquita12: If she made baby food for her first baby then she might already have a good quality food processor that she’d prefer to use. I plan to make my own baby food and I’d much rather use my food processor than a baby bullet (I already owned a magic bullet once and wasn’t overly impressed with it). I’ll just buy some little storage containers like “baby cubes” (see pic below) to store the food in. I think it’s nice that you’re trying to find a meaningful gift but I would see if it’s something she actually needs before purchasing it.
Just so you know where I’m coming from, I have a new baby and people keep buying me things that they think will be useful but I don’t actually need them…I’m running out of space to put the stuff! 🙂

@As_You_Wish: Thats good advice..I dont want to get her something she wont use. Where did you get those little containers from?

I have the baby bullet, it was a gift to me at my shower. I prefer the ninja blade blender for making baby food. I can make a lot more at once too. I really like the cubes that @As_You_Wish: posted!

I think it’s a waste of money if someone already has a food processor. Just like most baby items, they slap the word “baby” on it and raise the price. It’s not any more special than a regular bullet or processor.

@sweetchiquita12: You can buy them at Babies R Us

@sweetchiquita12: I got a baby bullet for my baby shower, and eventhough I haven’t used it yet, I find that it will be very helpful. I don’t have a food precessor so it comes very handy to me, plus I love all the little containers it brings to storage or freeze the food. I was very pleased with the gift. I think you should get it for your friend, and just give her the receipt with the gift in case she doesn’t find it as helpful she can always return it and buy something else she might need more. I actually got a play yard at my shower too but I already had bought one so I just returned it and bought the high chair I wanted. The way I look at it no matter what gift you get if you have the receipt is a big help, if you like it you keep it if not just return it and buy something you want. That’s my opinion.
Mine is from target and this is what it looks like.
