Hello, Happily! Glad you’ve had a great year. We’ve had a happy year together in many ways, but the economy is still really struggling where we live and my husband lost his job in November, so we’ve already started the “for poorer” portion of the program. Good to know so early in, though, that we handle a crisis as partners, so there’s a silver lining even to this. I’ve been working extra, though, pulling in every extra hour I can teach so that we can stay afloat. He’s getting some major house projects done like building garden beds for me so we can grow our own food – something we’ve long wanted to do.

So, our broke asses are going to celebrate small for the 1st anniversary. Maybe a nice dinner out in our garden? We’re okay with that – many couples started off broke and built their lives together slowly. Wish us luck, though, that the second year brings a turnaround on the job front!

we have had lots of curve balls.. we have had an uncle pass away, his dad got remarried, his mother just pass last month, i been in 2 car accidents in the last three months.. j

une is a busy month again- we got a preschool graduation, kindergarten graduation(some how i got volunteered to head that up) hunny is gonna be doing his first tough mudder race a day before our anniversry. and then fathers day falls on our anniversry. so we are trying to debate what to do- go out by our selves or take my parents and his dad and step mom out to eat. we also have to plan the memeorial service.

i just hope i go one year with out getting in a wreck again– i never thought i would spend 20 k on any one day in my life again= but my hospital bill from the last accident is at 20965 with out the ambulance ride or what my totalled car costs..

Yes, we are planning our trip to Jamaica! I can’t believe it’s been a year already! And I agree, nothing really changed- it was great before we got married and it is great now too. No huge arguments, all in all the first year of marriage was pretty chill and flew by very fast. We also saved the top tier of our wedding cake, so we will be enjoying champagne and our wedding cake as soon as we return from Jamaica.

i am also looking forward to our free cake if we get one… i cant read the bottom of the contract where it talks about one year anniversry– its either 140 or n/c or no on it and really dont think the 140 is a good price for a cake if its a single tier. lol…

@HappilyEverAfter54:  we do get a free cake. its gonna be 6in round cake(thats how big our top tier was)chocolate fudge. we are gonna go to el gauchos that night for a date night too.. fathers day dinner with family will be the night befor if hubby doesnt completely die from tough mudder… hopefully he can get through it and with a good time and he doesnt beat himself up over it.

i am getting flabbergasted buy the amount of bills racking up from the lastest accident… its insane at least my kids and me are not injured.

anyways got my replacement car and it still has sirus on so i been rocking out to the nineties music station o how i missed that music lol

Congrats to all of us hitting that one year!!! WOOHOO Well our first year has been great. I wouldnt change it for anything. We are planning a 5 night Bahama cruise so lets see what happens. But even if we dont do anything big and extravagant it is fine with me. I will be happy to just know we made it and we are still going!!!

wished i practiced floral arrangements during last years wedding planning…. got to make a centerpiece for mils memorial service and i am stumped.. also get to make 10 dozen cookies which i would gladly do and be in my zone… flowers are NOT my thing unless its just taking plastic off and sticking it in a vase…
