It seems like I am the only one!
Hi There Gidget145! I just joined Weddingbee yesterday. I am planning a Vegas destination wedding for Sept 2009.
Hey, bumping up this really old thread to say that I am too! If you already had your wedding(s), I hope they went great, if not, good luck in planning, maybe we can all post tips or findings here too!
I’m having a destination wedding in Vegas! 12/27/09
I was actually born and raised the Vegas, so technically it’s a "hometown" wedding too! I currently live in Austin, TX
We’re a Destination Wedding too, coming from CA. Wedding and honeymoon, in one nice neat package. 10.10.09.
hi! we’re planning to elope to vegas (or really, an itty bitty wedding of 10 people).
we’re thinking january/february-ish, and have to keep in on the DL until we have a date set.
(1) some how arrange the fam to go on a 3-day vacation so that they can meet ‘the other family’.
(2) tell them that we’re getting married once we land in vegas. duck from any purses or cellphones our moms may throw at us.
(3) go to the city hall and get hitched.
(4) have an epic family-style dinner with lots of wine. my dream location would be l’atelier de joel robuchon, but i’m afraid the bill would put us in debt forever.
(5) chill for the rest of the weekend.
there’s some fine-tuning needed, but that’s pretty much it. we haven’t even decided if we’re getting me an engagement ring or not, so any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated!
We are. We willbe getting married at the Excalibur on New Year’s Eve this year. We live in Southern California but Vegas was perfect for us.
We actually were, but decided against it because the logistics started to overwhelm us. Was going to be April 14, 2010 at the Bellagio in front of the fountains! But now planning the big “to do” here at home seems even harder!
I just did a wedding in Vegas in September at the Bellagio which was fabulous! The other wedding that I am planning will be taking place on Lake Las Vegas on La Contessa….this is a fabulous boat wedding or reception that you can have especially if you’re having a small wedding.
Congrats to all the ladies getting married in Vegas! 😉
Hey Karma007, We are 10/10/10 and planning a destinationg wedding in Las Vegas as well from Georgia. We actually picked the very recently and have not picked a venue yet, what about you? We are thinking about a quick trip to Vegas in December to check out some places. Neither of us have ever been there before so I am a little nervous!
@Beav1279, I am open to anything, but I have been looking mainly at hotels with ballrooms/banquet halls. It is so hard to find things online because I can never seem to find pictures!! They always have tons of pics of the chapels, and we are having the ceremony at another outdoor location, but never have pics of the ballrooms and where the reception would be held. And…the very few I can find, the decorating looks so old and outdated!
We are expecting a guest list of 80-100 people. I would love to have a nice view, or maybe even something on the roof of a building if they have that. It will be an evening reception and we want to dance, drink and just be merry!
Any info would be great! Thanks so much!!!
We are planning our may 8, 2010 wedding vegas from georgia. We are young and feel this will be the perfect place for our 8 person wedding. So excited!
I’m planning an October 2010 in the aquarium at Mandalay Bay. I’m terribly excited about it, it is going to be small (only 10 people allowed at the ceremony) but I’m planning on making it three days of nonstop fun for all involved.
Yay im glad I am not the only one getting married in Vegas. It seems like October is the month everyone is doing lol I am getting married in Vegas on October 16, 2010. I would love to share planning tips because I am planning from Missouri/Oklahoma
