When are you planning on going?
How much are you spending?
I mainly want to go to just make sure it’s still a girl! After all the pink I’ve bought/decorating the nursery….I’m getting nervous!! And the pictures/details they get of the baby are so amazing.

My cousin did a 3D for both of her babies, and I got to tag along, and I pretty much decided right there and then that it wouldn’t be something that I would ever do. The pictures are amazing, I will give you that, but I want to be surprised when my baby is born. The 3D ultrasound leaves nothing to the imagination.
Also, you have to go at a specific point in your pregnancy (usually between 25-30 weeks), or you won’t get many if any good images. My cousin went a wee bit too late in her first pregnancy, so there got very few images of the baby. For the second baby, she went at the right time period, but baby wasn’t cooperating, and we still didn’t get a lot of good shots. Each time, she still had to pay for something that you could basically see in a regular ultrasound. When the basic package is $125 for 5-10 minutes of viewing (with prices going up all the way to $275), it just isn’t worth it to me.

when i go in for my regular ultrasounds, they will sometimes turn the 3d switch on nad i get to see him that way. at 24 weeks we got an AWESOME shot of his face in 3d and it was amazing to see who he looks like. also at my automy scan they did it in 3d and he was small enough where you can see his whole body and what he was doing (moving his feet into his mouth, sucking his thumb) at 31 weeks, and 35 weeks he was buried head down hiding his face (babies are so big at that point that its hard to get good shots of them!) even when she would move the ultrasound probe around his arm would take up the whole screen, so you cant really see what he is doing. but i still love seeing any part of him 🙂 i would recommend going early to get it done.

When we have kids…no. I don’t like them at all. I find them a little creepy, but that’s just me. As long as the kid is fine, I don’t need to know anything else.

We had one at 23 weeks and found it amazing. It really made everything feel more real and it gave us such a nice glimpse of her and see what she looks like. I wish I could go again now that I am a little farther a long and see what she looks like now! I HIGHLY recommend them!

I did and I don’t regret a second of it. Also, a friend of mine had one and found out her child was going to be born with cleft palate which allowed them to plan accordingly. I think they are amazing.
