    I haven’t decided. I think I should but I find them almost physically painful to sit through, with the question dodging, the practiced “zingers,” etc. I don’t know if I can take it.

    I cannot wait to watch it. I’ve been counting down the days! I love this stuff. Debate season is my version of the Olympics.

    We don’t have TV, so I’m hoping I can stream it on the internet or at least just listen on the radio.

    I feel like I should, but I probably won’t. I don’t think it could possibly change my view on either candidate.

    Probably not, my mind’s been made up for a while now.

    It’s my homework assignment for my Political Sociology class but I would have watched it anyway because I am really interested in what they have to say.  Although I know most of it is going to be both candidates throwing out sound bites and pointing fingers at the other party.

    I have worked on presidential campaigns before, and I love politics (even though it does stress me out, because my expereince shows me where we are headed and it doesn’t look good.)  Currently, neither candidate inspires much hope in me – they share too many comonalities, although I definitely see the differences too.  Their diffferences and their comonalities are equally scary.

    It’s as if we are in a car, headed towards a cliff at full speed, and neither candidate is willing to do what it takes to stop the car.  One may slow the speed a bit, but in the end we will still go off the cliff – just like Spain, Greece, and many others.  The Federal Reserve is printing WAY too much money – which will cause massive inflation as usual, and a decrease in the value of the dollar (it’s already worth about 95% LESS than it was in 1913 at the inception of the Federal Reserve Bank – a PRIVATE bank – it is not a gov’t entity.)

    Wow, ok.  I went off on a tangent and I apologize.  I had every intention of NOT doing that – but I get so into politics.  I even had to ban the topic at my wedding because my whole family LOVES to talk politics!

    ALLLLLLLL of that said, I will probably still watch the debate.  I always do.  Nothing is more important than the wellbeing of our country (except for G-d and family.)

    My FI and I are very much in to politics and the debates. We watched ALL of the RNC and DNC broadcasts and have been literally counting down until tonight’s debates. Both of us are 100% confident in who we are voting for. But we still like to watch, discuss, and comment on the other side.

    I’m going to watch them, but they always give me anxiety, lol. I get so frustrated when someone says something that is untruthful (or a flat out lie) and I get so annoyed when they oversimplify something or use buzz-words or talking points. (I’ll be interested to see what the rehearsed “zingers” are tonight). The worst is when I feel like I could describe something better than they can.

    So, I guess you can say I like the debates, but I usually just end up yelling at the tv.

    I, too, am a big political junkie, even got a degree in Poli Sci. But this election has left me so…blah and uninspired.

    @ohmybears48:  Ditto!

    There is no doubt in my mind over who I am voting for – but I still want to watch!

    @Eglantine:  “the question dodging, the practiced “zingers,” etc”

    This is why I have no desire to watch them.  I don’t find that any that is actually helpful comes out of them and they won’t change my views on anything.

    I always watch them and then head over to factcheck.org the next day to see what they have to say. It’s always amusing to see how each candidate spins their side.
