msnisha81:  I haven’t purchased my honeymoon from there, but I have purchased several trips. We go on a Chirstmas/Anniversary trip every December and I have bought at least 3 of our trips from there. They have all been great! This past December I bought our trip from Hotels.com and actually wished I would have bought it from groupon or livingsocial.

These trips have also been to the Bahamas, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Ive read here on the boards about people having good experiences with cheapcaribbean, this is where I first heard about it and looked into it too.  I’ll see if I can find the post for you.

Not honeymoon, but we Grouponed our Niagara Falls trip. My only caveats would be a) check TripAdvisor first. Some places need to have cheapo deals for a reason. and, b) look at cancellation policies carefully. Our hotel worked out great, but I’d also purchased a deal for a helicopter ride, and we were unable to go due to weather. We were denied a refund because technically, we could have used it another day before it expired, but of course we didn’t make a 16 hour round trip again just for that. So, long story short, I lost almost $200.

I haven’t, but my aunt purchased a groupon for one of those “All inclusive 7 day tour of machu pichu” or something and wasn’t happy at all with it. She said that the hotels they were put up in were in these villages in the middle of nowhere, so when they weren’t on the scheduled tour there was literally nothing to do. Then they apparently planned it poorly, so she couldn’t get a flight out until 3 days later which she had to pay out of pocket for hotel during those 3 extra days.

I know some people have had great experiences though too, so I would say research as much as you can ahead of time so you know what you’re paying for and what you’re getting.

We booked our 10 day honeymoon in the Dominican through Groupon.  We don’t go until July, so I can’t really report on the experience, but the resort did get great reviews 🙂

msnisha81:  I haven’t but Fiance and I booked our 6 day cruise through carnival for less than $3K and Grande Suite. I have also taken a trip I purchased through Groupon. It was a trip to a Belize, 4 days and 3 nights at a jungle resort with free spa treatments and chef made breakfast everyday for $399. I loved it!

msnisha81:  i haven’t booked with the sites you mentioned but i have booked with expedia and booking.com and a few others and i have always enjoyed what i got.  of course, i researched the hotel before booking to make sure they met my expectations.

be sure to check what is and is not included (eg. transportation from the airport, food, drinks, etc) and check out the cancellation or change of date policies.
