I bought mine on preownedweddingdresses.com and am in love with it.  I had many pictures of my dress on Pinterest, and just put my faith that the dress would look like the pictures.

Are there any salons that carry that dress that you want?  I would definitely go to try them on.  My dress is an older model from a few years a go, so not many stores carried it.  If you have found “the one,” then I would take the risk and buy it online, but not without doing as much research as possible.  Worst case, you can try to resell it on the site I mentioned above or on another wedding classified site.  If you’re not sure and want to have fun trying on dresses, then go for it!

gonnabeahewitt2017 :  OK, for some reason your dress pictures didn’t show up when I first viewed your post.  After running a Google image search (these are amazing), a lot of knock off websites are selling a version of this dress, which is called the Amsale Coco. I would be SUPER careful ordering from there.  Amsale is a well-known bridal dress brand that’s carried at many bridal shops.  If ordering online, I would only do it from a site like preownedweddingdress.com or oncewed.com, and I would still be very thorough on there and ask the seller a lot of questions:

Good luck! I hope you find it. 🙂

I bought this online a month or so ago:

I’ll get it early Dec, most likely! I’ll let you know. I got a really great deal on it. It’s cheap already because it’s Mary’s (I hadn’t been looking at them really but I saw the horsehaire tulle on the mermaid https://amarabridalboutique.com/ pretty much always has a sale going on and I got free shipping and $100 off, so it was under $700. I’ve been losing a lot of weight so I ordered it just a LITTLE bit small, but I’m afraid it will be HUGE by December/ April (when I wear it). I sent one dress back already because of this, but it was at Davids (also bought online) and I got a full refund. However I did order a size up (like they usually suggest for bridal) at Davids vs a size down at Marys’/ Amara so we’ll see! I figure at this price I can pay a few hundred in alterations if needed, and I live in a big city so I’m not worried about finding a skilled tailor.

I went with a couple (married) friends to try on a variety of dresses just to get an idea of what looks good on me and what doesn’t. I’m not the most fashionable, and my friends helped me out a lot. We all ended up loving a particular style. I showed the style to my family and my Future In-Laws, and they all loved it too. So, knowing I only had a $250 budget for my dress, I started looking online for similar dresses. I found the PERFECT dress (for me) online for $200 shipped. Score!

There is one small issues. There are two Xs that seem to be printed on the fabric on the back of the dress. I haven’t taken it in to be fitted yet, but I’m hoping my seamstress has a solution. If not, I don’t care that much.

I’m thinking of purchasing a dress online without trying it out… I’ll update how I go if I actually buy it…

gonnabeahewitt2017 :  I got the dress today 🙂

So initially I tried it on and it would not zip at all! Felt like it was 2 sizes too small … Mum came over and we tried again with her and she reckons it’s not as bad as I thought initially, if the hooks were a bit closer she reckons it would zip up … but in any case if I lose a bit of weight (and that was the plan) it should be fine.

The dress is also extremely long, so we will have to go to a seamstress.

I probably should have done my homework better and measured myself better to see if it will fit – I kinda went by my “street size” and apparently wedding gowns have their own different sizing system. I should have probably gone to a professional to be fitted and compared the sizing chart of that brand and maybe consulted with them before ordering the dress.

I’m attaching a pic of the dress – it’s an older Morilee style dress… can’t wait for it to be the perfect length for me.
