All I know is it’s like porn, but I have no idea what it’s about or what people consider porn [I’ve read LOTS of books, haha]. From what I’ve heard, it doesn’t sound like my kind of book, but if others like it, go for it. I prefer gore over sex, so not for me.

I’m all for romance novels, but I still expect good writing.  The author’s writing was just…blah.  She repeats several phrases all the time and it gets old.  Also the main character is looking for people to feel sorry for her a little too much.

Writing sucks, but you basically get used to it after page 60 or so. It’s really good after that. Ending is lame though.

I’m trying to keep this blunt because I’m a notorious plot ruiner.

I heard it was originally Twilight fan fiction.  The plot sounds awful so I haven’t picked it up.

I agree with the PPs.  The writing is pretty terrible but you do get used to it.  I really liked the first book, I think the second was by favorite, but by the third I was sick of reading sex scenes and found myself happy that the author began skipping them instead of describing it all.  It got a little ridiculous, I mean, how do these people get anything done with all the sex going on?!  For real.

I liked it.  The writing certainly isn’t fantastic but the character development is good.  I found myself much more interested in the second and third books than the first (they got more in depth about the characters).  However, as PP’s said, there are an insane amount of sex scenes and it gets VERY, VERY repetitive.  I just skipped through a majority of them (they are seriously pretty much all the same) and stuck with the characters.  It definitely isn’t a classic, but if you are looking for a quick, easy, fun read I think it’s worth it.

@peachacid:  It is fan fiction.  That’s why the writing is so bad.  You can actually read the originals online… for free.

I read the first book.  I didn’t like it at all.

@MrsBlueSeptember:  It’s really, really difficult to find the online “free” versions of the book. They keep yanking it down everytime someone tries to post it! lol….The original fan fiction was called “Master of the Universe” and it was found on fanfiction.net and twilighted.net . It really wasn’t my cup of tea. The writing is bad, even for a fanfic!

The writing is technically awful – about 6th grade level. For awhile you forgive it to read the sex and out of a mild curiosity about the fate of the characters. By book 3, I couldn’t believe that I was skipping over the sex parts because they’d gotten so repetitive and boring. If this is hot porn I want to write some! Want to read good erotica? There are tons of better books. Try “Delta of Venus” by Anaiis Nin. Now that’s hot stuff!

Ehh u know i got wrapped up in the hype and was curious to read aomw kinky smut but I was kinda boring. I was really skipping through the sex scenes at the end. Also the characters don’t develop quickly enough. I also wished it was less cheesy and wished it went into the psychology of a dom & a sub since its something I don’t kno much about.

@MrsBlueSeptember:  Some fan fiction is amazing, but most is SO AWFUL.  Damn.  I wish I could get paid to write drivel!

I haven’t read it (and probably never will) but a girl on the shuttle had it in her lap and called it “smutty mommy porn that you read in bed by yourself with a glass of wine and a cigarette”. Hah!
