I have not received one, but I have seen them, they are very pretty!  People dip childrens shoes in gold and save them, why not a rose to keep it forever?  And I’m not even a flower person.

Fiance gets me one every year for Valentine’s Day.  Steven Singer, this big jeweler in our area, does them in all kinds of fancy colors and does a special edition color every year and they actually have become kind of hard to get your paws on because they’re so popular here and they only do so many every year, so he orders it usually in like early January.  I love them.

Do you have a picture of this rose dipped in gold? Sounds like something my Fiance would probably be interested in…. well, me actually…. LOL  for every wedding anniversay! One rose for each year in a vase, and if we forget how many years we were married, we just count the roses!

I do not personally have one, but my mom loves flowers. The first Christmas that her and my dad were together (dating not marries) he purchased her a pink gold dipped rose so that she could have one rose that she kept forever. That was 35 years ago, it still looks great.

I have! I got two from SO. My lovelies…

I think they’re beautiful and I’ve gotten lots of compliments on them. They were $55 each.

@oneovakind:  I told my SO to never get me cut flowers because they’re a waste of money , imoorted from other countries, cut by people with awful working conditions and little pay etc.

hTen he bought me these roses and I was smitten. I have had them for two years. I love them because they’ll last forever and they are gorgeous!

So bummed I just showed Fi these hinting I wanted one and he told me it was horrible. He said that you take something beautiful like a rose and dip it in something evil (apparently gold is evil….)

You can buy these online from this place:

http://theroselady.com/

I used to work in a gift shop that sold them – they have a good selection online along with other gold dipped stuff (leaves, shells, etc).
